Like I said before, I have degrees in the sciences, recognised that there were several chemical formulae in the article from the shape of the words. Knew the word started with a vowel and was short. Guesses: H2O, organic, carbon, chain, acid. The low occurance of carbon and chain eliminated Alkane, Alkene, and Alkyne, The lack of H2O suggested the AXB was actually H3O → acid.

Science is not my area of expertise, but I could tell it was such an article based on seeing the chemical compounds throughout. I could only start guessing simple science-based words I thought could be in the article, but even a few that got a lot of hits didn’t tell me what it was. But that it was just four letters and started with a vowel made it easier. Turned out to be something a lot more simple than I thought. Phew!

I have slowed down my Redactle play, and have been looking for clues all the way down the page before starting. Some categories of answer are starting to have very familiar features, which is maybe the nature of wikipedia.

I first thought it might be a band or album, then a city in Asia. I didn’t cotton onto a country in Africa until guess 9. And yes, going through the article looking for structural clues is really helpful for fast solves.

Really didn’t think it’d be another country in Africa so soon! I wasn’t paying as much attention to the first paragraph as I should have and started going down the wrong path - knew it was a country but not where. After some incorrect word guesses I finally realized it had to be in Africa. I then saw it was on the west coast, but I didn’t know for sure it was Angola with what I had in my guesses…just tossed that one out there, and I got it right.
I solved today’s Redactle (#61) in 8 guesses with an accuracy of 87.50%. 2nd guess country, third Africa. Thought I’d get some other info before trying to guess a six-letter answer. Chose Ghana first because I really just don’t think before typing, then the answer

Man, I am bad at this game, After 30 or so tries, the information I had seemed to suggest that I may not have heard of this person. So ensued about 40 guesses at his first name. Except “Ed” has two letters, and I was guessing three letter names.
I FAILED today’s Redactle (#62) with an accuracy of nowheresville.
I spent way too much time trying to figure it out and finally just gave up and looked up the answer. I really thought it was someone I had never heard of, but turns out I have. I just lost patience with staring at the article’s blanks and trying to think of what key words I could try in order to narrow it down, so I just took the fail.
