I'll Start The MMP.

But, but, but nobody expects The Spanish Inquisition!
The windows are open because it’s warm enough; this means sound from outside travels in easily. My friend gave me a bottle of her homemade limoncello; she makes it with grain & labels it as 190 proof (though I think the lemons & sugar take it down to, say, 187 or so. ;)) As I go to take the first sip, someone lets off a rather loud firework outside.

Dessert was a little bit of limoncello & a mint chocolate chip cookie.

Haz to go to bed now so I can get up before dark[del]:thirty[/del] & run with 40,000(!) friends & associates.

We accidentally went out to Mexican food on Cinco de Mayo. Whoopsie. It was good, but very, very loud. I stopped for ice cream after to make up for the noise.

Tomorrow we shall be seeing a movie and perhaps doing some grocery shopping.

Are you running a marathon or something Spidey?

As I recall in the liturgy it was basically somewhere between that and “my sin” but I was raised RO and we said it in Slavic sorta (Church Slovanic). And besides, the devil gets too much credit which is why I always say “Leviticus made me do it”. :stuck_out_tongue:

Irk was actually much fun; my favorite manager, good lane, things went well, and I put up a scan rate of over 200 per hour – top 6 for the night and more poundage than the others. I am happy.

Nobo------------ nah – too easy.

Thank you Cardinal Ximinez.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 64 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 86 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. The big plan of the day is to deheathenate, followed by first Sunday brunch. Part of the afternoon shall also involve nappage. That sounds like enough for one day.

OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Purtification for deheathenization must also commence. Rah.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled, Off to work.

Naw, the skirt itself was partly plastic. It was very old, hadn’t been worn in ages, and the cleaning instructions were no longer legible on the tag…

It’s truly impressive, it looks like it’s been snowing black plastic fragments in here. I’ll be vacuuming bits up for weeks.

Got a playing-with-bees meetup this afternoon, first in my new place. I miss having small stingy things.

The prices people want for a starter colony here are crazy though, more than 3 times what I paid in my old place. The price might go down in a few months, when swarm season kicks off in earnest, or I might even be able to get one free. Problem is with a swarm you might get grumpy bees, or lazy bees, or lazy grumpy bees…

Happy Sunday all!

OK, 3 nights in a row of bad sleep is too much. I might have gotten 3 or 4 hours last night, interrupted, of course. It’s gonna be a long day.

We didn’t get the promised rain overnight and there’s just a 50-60% chance today. Oh well…

That’s all I can manage for now. Happy Sunday.

Happy Sunday!

Up and caffeinating and getting ready to heathenate.

Morning all. Loaded up the dishwasher last night before realizing that I’m out of soap (or whatever they call those bags of stuff you put in the dishwasher), so some shopping is in my plans for today. Will probably get something to eat here in a bit then go out for Sunday dinner later.

Otherwise just a quite day in North Ali-bama.

Blurf. I didn’t sleep well either FCGM.

Houseguest is still here until tomorrow morning. Right now he has gone off to visit another friend. I am supposed to be off tomorrow but I feel I need to go to irk as it’s been very busy and Moanday’s are the worst. I will think about it. If I go tomorrow I will take another day instead. My CAC card is expiring so I need to go renew it. Always something.

Have a great Sunday y’all.

**Butters **- dunno how it is in KW, but I went to get a new CAC - my retiree card expired in October - and it took all of 10 minutes, since I didn’t want a new photo. Spousal unit, on the other hand, getting one from scratch, was there longer than half an hour. With luck, your renewal will be quick and easy!

Back from breakfast and a quick stop at Lowe’s for some plants - I got coleus for the planters out front and marigolds and geranuims for out back, since it gets more sun there. I also, finally, moved the spider plants from the baby’s room to the front porch, where they’ll live till it starts freezing at night again. I also hooked up the hose again - we disconnect it so we don’t destroy the faucet when it freezes. Did that once and learned.
I vacuumed, which led to Cleo fleeing her fortress for a few minutes. She apparently decided to hide inside the recliner - one of Ziva’s favorite hiding places. When I had moved to vacuum in the living room, Cleo charged back down the hall and under the bed. What a wuss!!

Anyway, chores done for the day, except for some on-line financials. I’m not going to be good for much of anything today.

Enjoying my day off. Need to do a little work on the Sportie (a foot peg came loose on the way home in the rain last night :smack: ) and some laundry. Dinner will be something simple and for lunch I may just run out shortly. And a Bad Movie binge I am sure. And my last day alone as the OW gets back tomorrow. Time Traveler got a big seal of approval from her and much fun has been had so it was well worth the airfare and all for her to make the event. She was first row and second several times and loved both in their own ways. Maybe she will actually say something herself here but don’t hold your breath. Except for Plant ----- he can hold his breath if he wants. Other than that not much of anything.

I made some lemoncello with 180 proof vodka a couple of years ago. Most of it is still in the fridge. It’s starting to mellow out a bit now, but boy howdy it’s strong. I’d like to make something with oranges, and weaker vodka, sometime though. I think that’d be good.

What’s a CAC? I’m guessing the last ‘C’ is ‘card’ but what’s the rest? Certified alcoholic? Crazed adolescent? Confused antidisestablishmentarian?

Nut can I sponsor you a swarm? I’d like to “adopt” one, but I can’t handle the upkeep. PM me if you’re interested.

MetalMouse I think they still call it soap.

My son has conspired to fill his birthday week with maximum desserts. I am amused. It’s fun to be a kid (or ought to be, from time to time).

Happy Sunday all!

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, brunched, and napped. Quite an eventful day! EYP was not there this mornin’ as he is attendin’ his grandmother’s funeral in South Keerliner, so a former (he retired when he left St. Pat’s) Priest was there this mornin’. It was nice to see Fr. Jim and his wife Mary although I do see them out and about and at Whiskeypalian events from time to time.

Sunny does maximum desserts mean a lot of desserts or does Beamer have visions of some kind of uber, extreme desserts? Either way sounds great.

A CAC is the Department of Defense common access smart card. It has a chip in it to authenticate identity. It is also inserted into the computer keyboard to access the official network. In my case that is the Navy Marine Corp Intranet.

Now that you mention it a nap doesn’t sound like a bad idea.

Sunny, that’s a really nice offer, but I’m pretty much leaving it for now, at least until the end of the skool year, then I’ll start looking at what’s available. By then, it’ll be swarm season, and if it’s anything like at my old place, there’ll be a few looking for homes then.

Swarms always come free, you just normally have to collect them yourself… Which I’ve never tried. Eep.

Feeling a bit down today; bought tickets back in February for a gig in June. A friend was coming down for the gig then staying a few days, and he’s just told me he almost certainly can’t come, due to a ratbag new manager (who’s fired half the staff, and annoyed everyone else so much they quit, and won’t let friend book any time off as now there’s no cover). Been really looking forward to it, but not really sure if I want to go by myself.

Ratbag managers: you don’t even need to work for them and they still cause problems.

Nut, sorry about your friend; we all have had our ratbag managers (or if you’re young, you will have one-I think it’s a universal law or something).

Nappage completed and I’m looking at getting dressed and heading for the Cracker Barrel for Sunday Dinner.

I have completed the monumental task of haulin’ the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. I am exhausted and farmutshet.
