Okay, well kinda.
Some of you know that I have custody of a friends daughter and she just had a baby girl yesterday on my oldest daughters birthday!
She named her after me even! Well, her middle name anyway.
Please welcome Miss Alanah Kristyne Sawyer 5lb. 17 1/2 in. born at 11:51 on August 2nd, 2000.
Lots of dark hair and beautiful blue eyes! Such a tiny little thing.

Yep hon I am a 28 year old grandmother. At any rate I was more excited about it than her biological parents were.
Miss Alanah has decided that she isn’t going to eat so while her mother got to go home she gets to stay. I got to get her to eat a whole ounce last nite and if she keeps it in she should come home today!

Bitsy is still not home and might not be for a few days. She is Jaundis. Eating well now but kinda yellow.
None of my kids ever went through this so it’s new to me.
I took some pictures of her with my friends digital camera and he is going to e-mail them to me. Wonder if I could get her up on the people pages for all too see?
I have asked her mother if it would be alright if I gave her a tiny pentacle and she said not a problem so I know having the goddess in her life won’t be either. She’s just in time for Mabon and Samhain.

Kricket, if the mother goes so far as to allow you to hold a Wiccaning, please tell me about how it goes! A new birth right in time for the new year–how exciting! The stages of life are beautiful! Of course, you’re approaching that “crone” stage a little early by being a grandmother at 28!
P.S. Is the baby going to have to wear one of those UV vests for the jaundice when she comes home?
My Evil one I will have to ask about the vest tonite. I have never had to deal with this so I have no idea as to what to ask for in the way of medical attention.
I will also have to ask her mom about the Wiccaning. If it goes than I will be sure to give you all the details.
As for going into crone stage, I felt I was there when I had my tubes tied. I know better but I still felt it. As you can tell, not whole heartedly my decision.
Slight highjack: My three girls went trick or treating last year and all wanted to be witches so they found and even ground and presented mother, maiden and crone. This year we are doing the Addams family. Should be interesting.
