Bud Light! I love those ads too. “I don’t see no lettuce…” Heh. Cracks me up every time.
Although most of their commercials are stupid, Capital One’s credit card ad that features vikings storming a street cafe when a customer uses the “wrong” credit card is hilarious. The MTV-2 commercials that feature a little plastic baby doll screaming about Metallica are strangely funny as well.
I love the Snapple commercial of the Running of the Bulls…all those Guinea Pigs with little horns on their heads…chasing the Snapple bottles in tourist clothes
Man am I missing alot. Time to turn off comercial advance on the Replay.
The Blockbuster animals are great. I like the “TV bunny ears” one the best.
One I always missed seeing, but heard it on in the other room several times(I never made it to the other room to see it tho). Was a Ford Truck commercial. My brother who did see it says it shows a Chevy and a Ford backing boats into a lake. The Chevy dosen’t stop and ends up in the lake. Chevy guy turns to the Ford guy, and says “I can’t belive it did that”. Ford guy replies “Yea, like a rock”. I still laugh when I think about that one. It was pulled pretty quick tho.
I like the Alf 10-10 commercials. I like Alf.
A local one for Vegas I haven’t seen in awhile was the guy on channel 5 who would announce the station broadcast info (KVVU Fox 5 Las Vegas, Henderson, Transmitting on…) Then he would say “Up next is Richard Dean Anderson in Stargate SG1” The guys voice made it sound like an announcement from Og.
Great. I’d just managed to get that damn song out of my head.
“I like it, I love it, I want some more of it. I don’t know how they do it down at Applebee’s.” Written by the same dark cabal that unleashed the Chili’s baby-back ribs jingle.
The only the worse than the “can you hear me now?” Verizon ads are the previous Verizon ads, with that horrible banshee “singing” “People everywhere just gotta be free.” Verizon is cheaper and has better coverage than my current cell phone service, but I didn’t sign on with them just to protest their ads.
But yeah, the Barky the Dog ad is pretty damn funny. There’s also a fairly recent one for cheese (?) that has a kid knocking a pinata into a magician performing at a party, that’s impressive even though it makes no sense.
“Hi. I’m Stanley Johnson. I have a wonderful family, and a beautiful four-bedroom house in a nice community. You like my car? It’s new! I’m even a member at the local golf club. How do I do it? I’m in debt up to my eyeballs! Somebody help me. Please?”
