Just went back to the original thread - somehow I missed it at the time - and read the story and looked at the pictures. A couple of comments:
She looks really sweet and “Sitcom pretty” - just think about all of those guys who are like 5s on Sitcoms with extra pretty wives.
Ok, just kidding, you look like a pretty slick cat as well, but what in the hell are you doing out in December with just a shirt and a sports coat on? You must have been freezing. We Florida boys don’t typically deal that well with the cold and you don’t seem to have much natural insulation.
Nice engagement story, how did you two meet?
Yeah, she’s way out of my league. I’m not, like, Jerry Seinfeld ugly, or anything, but still. Here’s one of our engagement pictures.
Believe it or not, we met at a frat party. I was playing a drinking game and singing a song that probably wasn’t appropriate in mixed company. While hammered.
Her friend brought her along because she’d been stood up for a date earlier in the night, and the rest, as they say, is history. Complicated history, because that was in 2002, and we didn’t really become an item until 2006, mostly because I wasn’t smart enough to figure out when I’d been handed a good thing on a plate with watercress around it.

My only advice is not to drink too much at the reception. By all means, enjoy – but cut yourself off. You don’t want to be smashed when the grandkids watch the video.

Congratulations, Bright boy! I’ll be thinking of you while singing My Old Kentucky Home, for here in Kentucky the first Saturday in May is always Derby Day and everybody parties, gambles and drinks!
