But even more so, I would like to say how totally tired I am of a few people trying to dictate how everyone else should act:
Dont post that crap, its boring, its gross, its too personal, its too nasty, its too redundant… ad nauseum…infiniti…
But I suppose telling people NOT to tell people what to post is the same as what I am complaining about.

I just know that I wont start posting in latin becasue a half dozen posters declare it ‘cool’ to do so. I value individuality and freedom of expression too much to conform If virtual marriage, or laminated lists make you happy, go for it. If preaching and forcing people to get along does it for you, have at it.
It’s not that the marriages are “cliquish” or “high school” - It’s more of a kindergarten thing, really.
The upside, we can only pray, is that the legions of newlyweds will be so wrapped up in each other, they will stop jumping into every thread to flirt with everything in sight once they take their vows.
Actually, I’m not on “list after list”, but it doesn’t bother me anymore. And I’ve already been told by iampunha that I’m not flirty (I think he was just insulted that I wasn’t flirting with him when he IMed me once). And I barely post on marriage and crush threads. I did post to Una’s because I found it interesting and different from the other threads. (Una, no offense taken by you not wanting to marry me, but we can be friends, right?)

But here we are now with these things all over the place.
I don’t know, I hate the endless flirting but at least these threads vacuum it all up into one place, which is a lot better than throwing it all over the board.
So, the same way I don’t open threads by skuggi or hypergirl, or threads with their names in the title, I now don’t open threads with the phrase “virtually married” in the title.
On the other hand, these do drive other threads off the front page. So possibly a truly interesting and thought-provoking or fun MPSIMS/IMHO thread is replaced by the same 6 people talking about their underwear in new and increasingly pathetic ways.
