I wonder if they have the garlic chicken like I grew up on. Seems like now all I see is chicken with garlic sauce, and it’s just not the same dish.
There was a chinese place near my first real job that served an amazing garlic chicken. The veggies were sliced onions and green onions, maybe bell pepper or water chestnuts. And a wonderfully garlicy sauce. No one would talk to me the rest of the afternoon when I ate that stuff.
If they don’t have that, I want tofu and pork, family style.
Chicken with mushrooms (if your place puts zucchini in it, please ask for it without), chicken fried rice, mongolian beef and egg rolls, please. If it’s not too late.
Hope I’m not too late! LOL Here’s my order:
-Crab rangoon, or steamed dumplings if they don’t have the crab rangoon
-Either General Tso’s chicken -or- Singapore Rice Noodles (sometimes listed as Singapore Mei Fun); if you’ve never had this dish, it’s excellent, but can be quite spicy, and it’s usually got beef, pork, shrimp & chicken in it! Yum!
I’m an experimenter when ordering Chinese food; I’ve tried alot of different dishes. I had something called lemon chicken once that was excellent; I’ve also had shrimp with cashews that was just soooo good, the cashews were caramelized. LOL Every time I’ve ordered that since, though, it’s been awful and the cashews seem like they’ve been tossed into the sauce. Anyone know how that’s supposed to be cooked? Did I have it “right” the first time, with the cashews caramelized?

Yes they have sea cucmubers (sea turds to us divers.) They also have a wonderful Teriyaki menu and lots of stuff Japanese (note my appetizer) and you can special order anything. This place has EVERYTHING, however you want it.
Bouv, thanks for the bucks, the orders were starting to pile up and I just found out this morning that pension and other misc. things were not taken out of my “bonus” check and I have to cover it myself. So, I’m not quite a flush with coin as I had expected.

If they don’t have Mongolian beef, pick me up some chicken fried rice. Oh, and make sure the eggroll isn’t one of those gross seafood ones, either.
