I'm gonna have to pit all you butt-hurt snowflakes

Well Trump is a snowflake as well. A douchey orange snowflake. And the snowflakes on this board are liberal versions of him.

I guess I’m saying that your hyperbole is ironic in a post where you complain about the other side doesn’t realize how well behaved the Democrats are during election campaigns.

I thought I did. The Democrats blew all their dry powder demonizing fairly moderate Republicans like Romney (who got elected in perhaps the most liberal state in our country) to make him look like Ted Cruz and now when they sound the alarm about Trump, they’ve long since run out of words to describe how bad he is because they’ve already been used to describe fairly moderate Republican candidates.

What? I was saying (without sarcasm or irony) that Republicans engage in the same sort of hyperbolic villianization. It was a terrible habit that the Democrats picked up on.

I’m gonna think about that. Trump might have been so unforeseeable that no one knew that it could ever get that bad.

Well, yes. A lot of people held their nose as they voted for Trump.

Seriously, only on this board to people consider me a conservative (and conservatives on this board seem to think I’m a liberal). I might be considered a conservative if I moved to San Francisco but in NYC, LA, Chicago and DC I am probably on the more liberal end of the spectrum. I haven’t voted for a Republican presidential candidate since Dole and the last Republican I voted for was Guiliani for mayor of NYC).

I was making fun of snowflakes who were hyperventilating BEFORE Trump did anything. Really. What had Trump done on the eve of his inauguration that you could violently protest against in downtown DC?

I was making fun of Snowflakes that insisted that Trump was not a legitimate POTUS because of the popular vote or Russian hacking or that he was a Manchurian candidate thrall of Putin. These things deserve to be made fun of.

If you are concerned about Trump’s recent executive order, well then that’s something he actually did that was probably illegal and deeply disturbing and everyone shout be concerned.

Even if they are being stupid? Should I really just jump on every retarded bandwagon that comes along bashing Trump?

I mean we have had people suggest Trump commits incest with his daughter. Should I not have criticized that?

We have had posters who thought that Trump was likely to be coerced into obeying Putting by the Russian mob. Should I not have ridiculed that?

Weeding out the bad ideas from the good ones is a vital part of a healthy opposition.

The only thing I have done that may not have been totally necessary was my (justifiably) harsh criticism of Hillary Clinton for losing to a bobblehead. I should just have let her slide into anonymity and saved all the outrage for when she tries to hijack the Democratic party again.

Palin was definitely a BF.

I don’t know what McCain was thinking.

Yes!!! I agree but when we have already used that sort of rhetoric for guys like Romney, what do we have left but to say “this time we really mean it!!!”

And yet someone in THIS thread has described ALL Republicans as political arsonists.

Still haven’t responded to this, Damuri Ajashi. How is someone a “snowflake” for being very upset about what Trump said he was going to do, and now being very upset now that he’s doing it?

In the last week (as far as I can be bothered to look), the ratio of posts ridiculing liberals and nitpicking anti-Trump groups to posts critical of Trump is 100:0.

In the final analysis, regardless of your supposed motives and beliefs, your actions/words align pretty clearly with those of a Trump supporter.

If you find it more important to spend your finite energies engaging with various stupidities you percieve coming from liberals/Democrats rather than the opposite, you’re doing nothing but fiddling while Rome burns.

So within ten days of being President, Trump is doing precisely the sort of illegal and disturbing things the protestors you’re making fun of were worried he would do.

Perhaps it’s time for you to re-examine your position. I know if someone told me “Bad shit’s gonna happen” and within two weeks bad shit happened, I would not think “what stupid people.” I’d think “well, looks like they were right.”

To be honest, I don’t think people considered you much of anything until you started trolling. I’ve been on this board since 2001 and it wasn’t until last week I asked myself, “who’s this asshole? Huh, 2006.”

That’s because you don’t immediately vehemently agree with every position put forth. You actually have the GALL to discuss an issue, instead of just simply agreeing. You might even be called a troll, or added to the Troll’s R Us thread (if you haven’t already)

see?

I’m curious what makes you think I’m a troll.

I’m sorry if I am disrupting your echo chamber.

And its this sort of insistence on adherence to orthodoxy that got the Republicans where they are today.

So when people assume that I support Trump and that I hold all sorts of other views based on my disagreement with one element of liberal orthodoxy, I’m crying sheeple for calling out that bullshit?

People who disagree with me are generally disagreeing with me for two reasons. They disagree with me on a reasoned and rational basis or they are upset that I am disturbing their bubble. The second category of person does not really exist on the conservative side of this board. All the conservative snowflakes have been driven off. only liberal snowflakes remain so if it seems like I am only picking on liberal snowflakes it is only because this is a target rich environment for liberal snowflakes.

I don’t think you are a snowflake for being upset about what he actually does.

I think you are a snowflake for using hyperbolic language to flip out about the stuff he said during the primary. Calling him a Manchurian candidate. Accusing him of incest with his daughter, saying that the russian mob will force him to act in the best interests of Russia, saying that he is somehow not a legitimate president because the Russians hacked Hillary’s emails and revealed her duplicity corruption and cheating, saying that he is somehow not really the president because he lost the popular vote, shit like that.

None of that applies to me. There’s plenty of silliness on this board, but there’s also plenty of reasonable criticism. It’s probably easier, and takes less effort, to focus on the silliness.

YES!!! Weeding out the stupid on the liberal side is much more important on a liberal site like this where there is plenty of trump bashing going on already.

Most of my posts are reactions to other posters. Mostly reactions to stupidity. Most of the stupidity I have seen has been from Trump critics. The are almost no posters here defending Trump so there is less to react to.

When Trump passed that executive order, I was pretty critical. When Trump was a candidate, I was pretty critical.

So ProtestJ20 was about banning immigration from these 7 countries, that’s why they were burning cars and bashing in windows?

So if someone from one of the 7 banned countries commits a terrorist act, would that make the ban prescient?

I don’t discount the fact that Trump might make good on his campaign rhetoric. I think Trump needs to be resisted vigorously whenever he actually does something we don’t like and folks on BOTH sides of the aisle should resist him if he does something illegal. But that doesn’t make Protest J20 any less snowflake.

That might be because for the most pat I fit pretty well within the liberal orthodoxy (except on guns) until people lost their shit over the Trump election.
