I’m sore, I’m tired, I’m hungry, I’m sick. I had a great time! We dropped the first load in Norfolk on Monday morning. While in Norfolk I had the chance to walk around for a while down by Granby (I think that’s it) Street. I saw a big truck run over a car. :eek: Well, not really. She drove under his trailer.
After Norfolk we had to head out to New Jersey. We dropped the second load in Somerset, New Jersey on Tuesday morning. After that we had to go over to Edison, New Jersey to pick up a load to be delivered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at 4 o’clock Thursday morning. It took five hours to get loaded in Edison, so we called the broker to try to get the 4am appointment moved to 8am. No, we had to be there at 4am. We pulled into Cedar Rapids at about 11:30 Wednesday night. It took some very careful planning and a convoy through Ohio, but we made it.
We dropped the third load in Cedar Rapids at 4 o’clock Thursday morning, as expected. Then we had to head over to the other side of Cedar Rapids to pick up a load of toys to be delivered in Eagan, Minnesota Friday (tomorrow) morning. I ditched my dad early. He’ll drop that load off tomorrow and pick up another to go to Texas. He’ll be leaving Saturday afternoon. I still don’t know if I’m going with him but I really don’t think so.
Did I mention I missed you guys? And I talked about this place almost constantly? And I was shaking and drooling and crying from SDMB/#straightdope withdrawls? And I almost paid ten bucks to get on the internet at a truck stop just to check up on things?
What a party this is turning out to be…

Monster104, we didn’t take any pictures because we left the camera at home. Oops. Not that it matters. We still haven’t gotten the pictures developed from our trip to Washington in June!
