However (thanks, Scarlett!), merely stating your beliefs/opinions is not. Also (Damn, Coldfire, you beat me to it!), last time I checked, one’s sexual preference was not a belief. (I’m not going to go into whether or not it’s a choice; I happen to believe it’s not, but that’s totally beside the point.)
Personally, I find it hard to believe that Rich could possibly be surprised at the reception his OP is getting. I mean, how could he not know? He’s certainly been around long enough to get at least a superficial sense of the general Doper attitudes towards homosexuality, and that’s really all that’s required. Maybe he just had a boring day at work and needed a little excitement.
Oh, and Coldfire, a boa is way too light to really injure someone with. At least by slapping; strangling, on the other hand…
