I think you should give her a call. Look, girls play hard to get, right? If you give up you’ll just be proving what she already thinks about you. I’d drop the bit about “If not I get the point and don’t worry I won’t bother you again” because it makes you seem sort of sad and girls don’t respond to that. You don’t want pity. Taking what you suggested I’d modify it to something like this: “Amanda! Hey it’s Scotty. Hey I know it’s been a while but I still think about you a lot and just wanted to see how you’re doing. So if you want give me a call- if not I’ll give you another call tomorrow like before you go to work.” If you don’t know what time she goes to work you could ask.

Wow. I’m only trying to explore the hypothetical possibilities and see if someone could help me think clearly. I’ve already stated multiple times I’m not gonna do it but I still keep getting met with hostility and mockery.

What is so wrong about it? Say she answered and we talked and I say hey why don’t we be friends again and we met for a drink? Would that really be so terrible? Also, if this was a guy who was an old friend it would be a complete non-issue.

Dude, go for it. You only live once. What kind of guys does she usually date? Find out what kind of person she’s attracted to and make yourself that person. Find pictures of her exes online and use them as references. Above all, be confident!

No problem. We’ve all been there with the pining for the one we think got away. Believe me. Every guy has to go throught it. It’s practically a rite of passage. In my own personal experience, I’ve found that it’s mostly about just aching for a relationship and unrealistic idealization. Once you hit it off with someone else (and you will…maybe not the first or second or third girl you go out with but one of them), you’ll find that you can look back on the past more objectively, see the flaws in the other girl (who you probably see as perfect right now), and see your incompatibility more clearly. There will come a day whem you’ll be with someone else who you adore and wonder what the hell you were ever thinking with this other girl.
