I have an idea it will involve glowing red eyes and black wings.
Just be sure someone checks the hospital’s basement for pods. We wouldn’t want an evil alien Skald after all, would we?
Unless it hates Smurfs as well
How would we tell the difference?
Be well, Skald. Never give up.
Dude, get your ass out of bed and get back to TCB.
There’s a bit of a situation back at the lair. It seems that the assassin bots have erased all the records and now mingle with the hooker bots. Great cover for them, but…unfortunate…when scheduling errors occur. I’d sort it out, but I’m [del]measuring for new carpet for my inevitable take over[/del] doing other things for the Greater Glory of Rhymer Enterprises at the moment.
What are we going to do tonight?
*The same thing we always do, try to take over Rhymer Enterprises!" * (rubs hands in evil glee)
He buys a copy of everything recorded by Justin Bieber?
Still thinking of you and hoping for your quick recovery, Skald.
Take gentle care of yourself, skald. I’m glad to hear things are getting better with each day.
It sounds like every day it’s a bit better - keep going Skald. All joking aside, you have a lot of people here pulling for you.
Athena called. She said a large component of wisdom is perspective, and to keep your eyes on the prize.
Good luck.
The one thing I wanted most when I was in the hospital and alone was a hug.
So I’m giving you a big hug right now, and whenever else you need one.
Didn’t see this until today. Sending good wishes for a full and quick recovery!
I am sending you mega-healing vibes, Skald
Wow, sorry to hear of your troubles Skald. I really hope the docs get you a diagnosis, a lowered BP and a positive PROGNOSIS damned soon man. It must be sheer bloody hell not knowing what the hell is going on. Take care, take the drugs, come back to us soon, and go back to your family sooner.

Been away, just found this. Skald, get well soon; you’ve given a lot to this community, and we, the spoiled masses, demand more.
You’re probably already aware, but ICU psychosis is a real thing. Being in a hospital for an extended stay can be extremely disorienting: the lights are always on, there’s always noise, you’re physically uncomfortable, you can’t sleep worth a damn, and the usual rhythms and rituals of your daily life are gone. So your mind goes a little apeshit. Not to say it’s all in your head - you’re there because you’re pretty damn sick - but it’s probably not quite as bad as your brain is making you think. BTDT. Have hope: better days are coming.
In a yoyo. Feel like shit. Head explding.
My wife is gonna leave I know it. She must be tired of this shit.
Zonv hundersffand anything.
Things will look better when you’re out. That link Machine Elf posted about ICU psychosis is definitely a real thing. We just went through it with my father-in-law a couple of weeks ago. He was in for some heart-related stuff and became so combative and disoriented that he was threatening to call the police if they didn’t let him out, and he was hallucinating and insisting that his hallucinations were real. When they switched up some things in his care, he improved significantly. He’s home now and back to his usual self.
Just an encouraging data point that it will get better.
Skald – talk to your docs or at least the charge nurse about how you are feeling. From the distance it almost seems like you have some strange reverse Sundowners thing going on here – more clear and composed at night and more effected during the day. It may be a clue they need to get you back on your feet and back home with the family and all of us as well.
What is your diagnosis Skald? Hope you start feeling better soon. I am in Memphis as well. If there is anything I can do to help, just ask.
