I'm taking you on a picnic...

What are you bringing?

I’ve got a pretty big cooler for you guys to stuff full.

I’ve already got some shrimp ceviche cocktail and cold beer (your favorite!).

We’ll be listening to some live music on the grass - what are you going to bring along?

Well, since I’m a sober vegetarian, I’ll bring the diet iced tea, cheese spread and crackers.

As for music, which show tune is your favorite and which language would you like to hear it in?

More beer. And maybe some fresh berries and grapes, and a baguette and some port-salut.

tri-colored rotini salad and diced melon.

Deviled eggs stuffed with baby shrimp and horseradish and some of my mother’s recipe potato salad. Can’t trust you people to bring good beer, so some of that too.

My contribution to the music will be to sit quietly and applaud loudly.

Even more beer, plus maybe a couple of Subway sandwiches.
I am not a picnic person and don’t really enjoy sitting outside with mosquitoes, gnats, bees, ants, poison ivy, humidity etc. and trying to eat anything that cannot fit in one hand and be eaten as I dash to the car when it starts to pour rain.

I’m not a beer drinker, so I’ll bring a selection of Pepsi products.

Goat brie, crusty bread, strawberries, cold fried chicken, and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot if we’re celebrating.

I’ve got some lovely fruit skewers with a spritzer bottle of balsamic vinegar. I may even bring an angel food cake to go with them. And some Diet Pepsi.

Bug spray.

I will bring my famous guacamole. But…if you’re taking us on a picnic, why do we have to bring everything? Is this really a potluck in disguise?

I think the OP’s username explains it all.

I like beer, but, for me, a crisp, dry rosé is the proper picnic quaff. I’ll also bring some sandwiches–a nice muffaletta.

Oh, SNAP! (Not that you’re wrong, mind you)

Is there beer? I’ll bring some, just in case. And vast quantities of macaroni salad.

Don’t you mean “mass quanities”? So we can “consume mass quanities”.

Curried chicken salad, with pitas to make “sandwiches”.

Couscous salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, and feta.

I didn’t know you were from France…

It’s an old SNL reference. Or am I being thoroughly WHOOSHED?

I’ll bring the gluten free stuff, and the new They Might Be Giants album. Though you said “we’ll be listening to some live music on the grass,” so maybe I’ll play the spoons and sing old Nitzer Ebb songs for you.
