Those who are "guesting" on Thanksgiving...

… what are you taking along as your contribution to the feast? In accordance with the hostess’s wishes, I’ll be mixing up a yummy pot of pumpkin and black bean soup.

A large pan of baked macaroni and cheese and possibly sausage dressing.

A couple of nice bottles of wine.

Creamed onions and a sweet potato/pecan pie.

And my very best appetite.

Pumpkin cheescake and “nuts & bolts” (homebrew chex mix)

Brian

We have a long drive ahead of us, from NE Ohio to SE Vermont, so we don’t bring any food with us, but my wife helps her mom with all of the baking once we get there. She’s very good at that.

My mom always asks me to bring Waldorf Salad. It’s really easy to make, and everyone, including my 7 year-old nephew, likes it, so I’m happy to oblige.

Sweet potato casserole.

I’m brining, bringing and cooking the turkey.

We’re driving about 500 miles overnight (staying in a hotel), arriving about an hour prior.

What can we bring? My “brilliant” idea of taking a Honey-baked ham was nixed by my wife. :frowning:

I always bring my sweet potato souffle.

Candied yams and rum cake…made from scratch.

The stuffing, the gravy (well, we’re not bringing it, but we’re making it on-site), and a lemon meringue pie.

My grandma is no longer able to host the festivities, so the family has moved the gathering to my uncle’s house. He doesn’t cook. At all. (He does have a large, centrally-located house, though.) So everybody has to either go over there and make the food, or bring it along.

My wife’s pumpkin pie is to die for.
Me, I’m just bringing my sparkling disposition.

PIE!! Pie pie pie!!!

Pumpkin
Peach Streusal
Custard

Pie Pie Pie!!!

Ooh! Recipe, please?

Sticky rice with Chinese sausage and Shitake mushrooms. World’s easiest dish and my brother-in-law’s mom’s specialty.

Here also pie pie pie. Apple, punkin, and egg nog custard. Maybe sweet potato/ haupia pie. Want pie now.

I’m bringing my seafood chowder. You know it’s good, because the recipe starts out “cook one pound of bacon.”

In the other thread I mentioned that my responsibilities got larger and larger. Unfortunately I have a reputation to uphold, so my list is:

4 pies. 2 pecan, 1 apple, 1 pumpkin. I am staying home from class on Wednesday to bake all this stuff from scratch.
Vodka-cranberry punch
Beer

Dinner is for counts, runs out of fingers, uh, a shitload of people. 30 or more I should guess.
