Just for future reference, the local term for something closely approximating your option 7 is a “gasterd game”. The term comes from a game where one player claimed to have a posting restriction of not being allowed to use the letter B, and said that the host was a real gasterd for doing that.
For instance, there was one game within the past couple of years where everyone was a Serial Killer with the win condition “Everyone dies, or you’re the last man standing”. The win scenario, then, would have been for the last three to figure this out and kill each other cyclically (A kills B, B kills C, C kills A). They did figure it out, but one of those last three tried to backstab and didn’t follow the plan, resulting in a single player (not the backstabber) winning.
Actually, the original term was “gastard”, since bastard has no letter ‘e’. (Originated by Drain Bead who used the moderator supplied false claim of the Ventriloquist in Arkham Knights. The post restriction was actually written in as part of the cover role to follow the flavor of the actual character in the comics. Drain Bead decided to roll with it, except she screwed up a few times which led to her falling under suspicion since she wasn’t being punished for her supposed restriction.)
The “gasterd” thing originated with me in the very all-serial killer game you mention. I named it “Inblourious Gasterds” (AKA Kill 'Em All False Flip Mafia) in honor of the movie Inglorious Basterds which was still in theaters combined with the “gastard” meme originated by Drain Bead. To be fair, the base idea was not an original by me. It was something a meatspace friend of mine who plays mafia on another online board pointed out to me. It had been run on his board. (Though, I tweaked it a bit, and the cover roles chosen and their descriptions were all decided by me, with color that essentially insulted every mafia role out there.)
I still have fond memories of running that game. Though it was amusing how all the participants managed to do nothing but take out the false vanilla covers. (I mean, there were something like 8 or 10 players whose false flips were vanilla, and 7 of them are the first to die. I think I calculated the odds on that as something like 25,000 to one against.)
And then Normal Phase accidentally posted the trick to the game thread rather than the spoiled thread.
Good times.
ETA: That game also spawned the signature line I use at Idle Mafia. After watching the players come up with all sorts of ideas of what was going on that made the game bastard, I mentioned on the spoiled boards how I have come to realize that players’ imaginations inflict much worse bastardness on themselves than anything moderators do.
Yeah, maybe Pizza shouldn’t spoil me for this one. 
I still kinda want to go hide under a rock for that.

The cray-cray games are the most fun anyway from a pure amusement standpoint.
I know. I’m trying to make a game that is playable, within the realm of fairness, and will make sense at least after it is explained.
I don’t want to make a rigged, unplayable, stupid game, just for the sake of crazy. And yet, I do want to meet the challenge of mad creativity. We’ll see what I come up with.

When I first played Mafia on the “big” boards", I didn’t know anyone, how much nicer it is to play with people you have met time and again in the game. I am looking forward to this. I still might change my name to Flaky Jan though
