Apparently I’m doing pottery classes again… I wasn’t going to, but they’re one person short of the minimum again. The teacher’s offered to pay for me, as I really don’t have money spare (at least, I don’t know if I do until the end of next week, when the MOT, insurance and tax all need paying).
I feel a little awkward about it, as everyone else is paying, but it is quite fun.
The kid does a good job of hauling it all in and putting it away.
Dinner was Ginos. he got a banana milkshake this time
That’s 4 flavors down and about 26 more to go.
As the largest island in Micronesia and the only U.S.-held island in the region before World War II, Guam was captured by the Japanese on December 8, 1941, just hours after the attack on Pearl Harbor, and was occupied for two and a half years.
During the occupation, the people of Guam were subjected to acts that included torture, beheadings and rape, and were forced to adopt the Japanese culture. Guam was subject to fierce fighting when U.S. troops recaptured the island on July 21, 1944, a date commemorated every year as Liberation Day.
Today, Guam’s economy is supported by its principal industry, tourism, which is composed primarily of visitors from Japan. Guam’s second largest source of income is the United States military.

Jim Guam survived WW2 Japanese occupation and a fierce battle to be recaptured by the USA. I’m sure all those Guamians (Guamites? Guamers) would just say, “bring it on peaches!”
Yeah, but I can’t see Big Brother pointing to a Japanese tourist and saying to Little Brother, “That’s your Daddy, the guy who beheaded my Dad and raped Mama.” :dubious:
Howdy all! What a day! I sat through two hours of "all about LED lighting and controllers. My ass was numb and I nearly ran from the room screaming from boredom.
Got to my office to computer problems. That was a phone call to customer, a web ex, and a :smack: moment when I figured out the problem. The daily mail brought much A/P so I spent the day paying vendors. This is really my favorite part of my job.
So, back to Energy Savings, the base resource manager is the husband of one of my clerks so she really follows the rules. We are mandated to keep A/C at 78 degrees and she controls the thermostat. We have started to turn the lights totally off and opening the blinds, harvesting daylight. So I’m at my desk irking and the Commanding Officer of the base popped in and caught us saving energy.
We are having a I Survived the Air Show Party next week. I was summoned to the flagpole to get a certificate of appreciation for helping to make it a success but I was out with hubby’s heart procedure so I’ll get my cert at the party.
Swampy I do live for your South Jawja weather forecast.
Speaking of cats that is a cute one 99! Our cat follows us when we walk the dog. Our cat brings presents. The last one was a baby coconut. She brings in small palm fronds, green tomatoes, birds  lizards, and moths. I put two bells on her collar at Christmas time and we’ve only had 1 bird in the house since then. Hubby did catch her outside with a dove in her mouth but he was able to free it. I do draw the line at snakes though. Please Scooter, No Snakes.
The phone sex scene is typed up. It’s kinda hot. I need to write the follow up scene tonight and I still need to transcribe the short story I dictated.
