Got some shopping done, and some Monster Cereals found their way into my cart at Target. However, a cat litter pan did not. We went to two different Target locations (most convenient store of that type around the Home Despot stop) and neither had any in stock. Are more people adopting cats lately or something? Food, litter, dishes, beds, scratchers, and such were findable, but no litter pans, and the Princess really needs a new one. Her current one is scratched up enough along the sides that I’m not sure it gets really clean when I do a dump-and-scrub on it any more.
Heh, I just bought a new, larger litter box the other day. (Monkey was just … too much for the small pan that was perfectly suitable for little Nikki and her little, relatively odor free poops.) I found it at Wal-Mart if that helps.
Dinner update v 2.0 - decided meat and onions alone wasn’t really a well rounded meal, so I warmed up a foccacia roll with some sliced garlic on top. (The world’s laziest bruschetta, except with no tomato.) Fixed a hot cuppa, and washed down a multivitamin. NOW it’s a balanced meal. Heh.
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Ida.
Ida who?
Ida posted earlier, but I was busy.
Since the oven was occupied by the pork roast, I cooked the bacon (in the cast-iron frying pan). for breakfast on the stove. Although I had my weekly potato ration yesterday, I made home fries this morning. I cooked them in the bacon fat, and seasoned them with Lawry’s seasoned salt. I made two over-easy eggs apiece. Mrs. L.A. liked the potatoes. Cooking the bacon in the oven is better than cooking it on the stove.
It’s gorgeous! Keep posting pictures as you go. Love the colors !
hippy, the reason that I asked is that some of the papercrafting equipment that I use in my studio can also be set up to cut fabric for quilting. The lot that I bought off Marketplace last weekend had one of the heavy duty dies used for heavy cardstock, metal, thin balsa or fabric in mixed media or quilting and had a quilt shop label on it. My electronic die cutter can also be used for fabric if it’s stiffened within an inch of its life, a super sticky mat and heavy duty blade / housing is used. I sometimes scale quilt patterns down to use up paper scraps for cards and wall hangings.
Cleaned the bathroom, dusted, watched handegg and napped. marinating poke chops for dinner. The weekend has flown by.
