I'm Up So Here's The New MMP

Yep. Because I need a shovel, a manscaping kit, and a makeup organizer right this minute.

Or pruning shears, a mermaid-tail-shaped blanket and cartoon character underwear. Been there, saw all that!

Nut, I’ll defer to the other Aldi experts, I haven’t been in one in months so I really don’t know what they are like.

Texas Roadhouse provided an excellent 11oz. sirloin with fries and salad, so I am stuffed and happy. Second and last load of laundry is working right now, so only the mowage, which I might wait until Wednesday for, to be done. Watching some tackleball right now.

Press on.

Now I’m trying to imagine Barbara Eden in a denim harem outfit with Birks.
I’m failing.

Red, If you have a newish TV and the right kind of cable(s) you can play videos from your computer onto your TV.
(I tried to do another quote, but it wouldn’t let me. Wanted me to delete my first quote.)

Gotta go.

Math failed me - I didn’t buy enough fabric to do 10 seat cushions - only 8. Dammit. But I’m going to cover the piano bench with the same stuff so I needed more anyway. We headed down to California (which is south of Hollywood) and after a quick lunch at Red Robin, I got my fabric. It was originally $50/yd, but I found it in the clearance rack - $13.99/yd - SCORE!!! Then we went to Lowe’s for a few items that we needed to finish the chairs.

Speaking of which - the bar stools are done!!

Turns out it’s a Tommy Bahama screen print. I was just looking for something in grays. I’m pleased.

I was going to rotiss a chicken, but FCD doesn’t really want a big meal so it’ll be rotissed tomorrow. Tonight will be grab whatever.

It’s 3 of the PM - do I start sorting another box o’crap, or veg? Decisions, decisions…

Maybe a small box…

nut, the 'Murkin Aldi stores that I shop at do have that aisle. I’ve purchased a winter coat for my dog, a garden cart, slippers for my dad, a pair of yard shoes, a hand truck and a travel pen for Nelson there. You just never know what you’re going to find.

bumba, I’m downsizing all of the DVDs out in preparation for my next move. Given current streaming capabilities and the fact that I live in 560 square feet, I prefer keeping things that I want/need more than DVDs that I would only watch every few years.

Nelson got his bath and he seems to be less itchy. I conditioned his skin/fur with something I picked up at Sprout’s market the other day, so that may help. He’s also getting extra salmon treats and I scrambled an egg for him this morning to get a little more oil in his diet. Now to prep breakfasts/lunches for the week and cut the vegetation for supper (chickpea curry, Indian fried cabbage and a nice cuke and tomato salad).

Howdy Y’all! Deheathenization and greet duties got accomplished. N.O.L. got accomplished. Nappage got accomplished. All that’s left to accomplish is to haul the biiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. That’s me, just a bzzzy :honeybee:!

I found my books!! Turns out I’d put a pile of them inside a cabinet. I just now opened the cabinet to sort it out, so yay!!

Now I think there are some :honeybee::honeybee::honeybee: that deserve an apology…

I didn’t accuse the bees, but I did give a sideways glance at Nut

For tonight an old camp favorite moved indoors: Foil dinners. The kids are not here for dinner tonight so I got 1.5lbs (680g) of lean ground beef and split it between the two of us. I chopped up a green pepper (capsicum?), some carrots, a zucchini, a sweet onion, a jalapeno, and a large potato. We each fixed our foil dinner with what pleased us. I used some of my barbecue rub and some red pepper flakes on mine. Sunflower skipped the green pepper and the jalapeno.

@FairyChatMom

As a quilter, i soon realized that an extra yard or two of fabric at the beginning will often save a project because a month later the fabric store has non of the stuff you bought left.

This is my current project. (Ralphie is in there for scale)

for anyone whos wondered … I’ve been in house buying/moving hell for us and a relative and the usual holiday hell that I bitch about every year that starts in mid-Sept and runs to mid-Jan has started so between that and for the season aunts couch is right behind me and she disapproves of the dope …

Hope everyone gets better who needs it … and condolences for them that do also

hippy, we used to call your foil meals hobo packets. I like your quilt. Do you use a die cutter to cut your pieces?

I hope that you get settled in soonest and come back to us on a regular basis shady.

The chickpea curry is good, the Indian fried cabbage is good and the cuke salad is a nice palette cleanser. Once supper and KP are done, I’ll chill in the studio for a while before bed. Nelson seems to feel better since his bath. I think the conditioner relieved his dry skin some.

@missred
I use an Olfa Rotary cutter. Those squares are 2"x2", each of them lightly basted to a piece of card stock. I hand sew them together, and at the end I will remove the card stock and trim the excess off of each seam. The projected size will be 74"x74" including a 12" border in black around the edges. This has not been a quick project, but I have been enjoying it.

One pooped Purple reporting in here. Dragged my sorry carcass home after being the sole runner pretty much the whole day. Customers are starting to be like, “Did you help me yesterday?” Probably, dude.

Thank goodness I have the next two days off.

Small chunk o’cow for dinner if I can drag myself vertical long enough to cook it.
I did manage to get the trash bin to the curb before I forgot and/dropped. I was pretty productive last week and it’s full of unnecessary crap, and also some of my Other Shoe’s old belongings. So I didn’t wanna miss tomorrow morning’s pickup.
The kitties got about a half hour of outdoor time to take the edge off their cabin fever. I need to look into some of those battery operated kitty toys for the winter, or something.

Howdy Y’all! I successfully managed to haul the biiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow.

Shades hope things settle down soonest. You’re movin’?

Hippie cool quilt!

Red glad Nelson is not itchy anymore.

Update: I took a hot shower, which helped tremendously. Small hunk o’cow came out a gorgeous medium rare, smothered with onions and butter as is the proper form.

Got a movie recommendation from my manager today (“Waiting” on Netflix with Ryan Reynolds) but I am far too pooped for anything that require such a long attention span. I don’t know if I could stay awake through a half-hour comedy. Will probably Dope around a bit until succumbing to an early bedtime.

Evening all. Mowage has been accomplished, not that much has grown in a week, still had 2 30-gallon bags worth for the trash folks to get tomorrow. All laundry has been folded and put in it’s proper place, so I have been active for a Sunday. Rewarded myself with a trible-scoop Butter Pecan Waffle Cone, which may take the place of dinner.

Called Brother, they are OK, but getting more than a yes/no/grunting sound out of him is hard to do. I’d stop calling (he never does), but he’s about all the family I’ve got left and I really don’t want to cut him off.

shoe, have a good night’s sleep and keep your feet elevated…

hippy, the quilt looks neat.

shady, tell your aunt to suck eggs and get on back here–we miss you.

red, glad Nelson’s bath helped. Speaking of baths, I’m way overdue…

Everyone have a pleasant night and I’ll catch you on the next MMP.
