My joy is that your laughable self-admiration society must make so many people cringe with disbellief. I have got something out of it. I have a realism about Americans that is almost dangerous. I haven’t only lost time I’ve lost some money and how is a sad story that would make some foreigners nervous should they hear it. The saddest thing is how the feelings I had about Americans built up from childhood have been changed so much. No one I ever meet will be allowed to accumulate such worthless baggage. It’s all fake.
