Damn it. How did I miss this thread until now? I just read the whole thing, even knowing it wasn’t going to end well. I feel like I’ve been punched in the gut.
My deepest sympathies to Norine’s family.
I’m mostly a lurker here but I used to enjoy norinews posts. My deepest condolences to all her family. I am shocked and saddened.
This is exactly how I have always thought of her as well.
I saw the thread about her being in the hospital but I assumed it had gone ok. I have been in and out of this forum and didn’t notice any updates. I just happened to glance up and saw the RIP after her name and felt like someone had punched me in the chest.
I love this place and I love (most of) the people here. norinew was very high on the list of my favorites, the people who keep me coming back.
I am so so sorry this has happened, glad that her pain is gone but wish it could have come about in a happier way.
What terrible news, my sincerest condolences to her family.
I just wanted to post that though I did PM thebadman, I have not gotten a response yet. The family is busy I’m sure, but I haven’t forgotten or anything.
I’m so sorry. And I’m so sad. Take good care of each other.

RNATB makes a good point. I’ll bet a whole lot of people reading and posting in this thread can tell you quite a bit about Norine’s family.
Also, Arielle, you should know that there are quite a few people showing up here who haven’t been around the board for a while or who seldom post.
Hope you and your family keep checking in and let us know how you’re doing.
I found this entry at a parenting website, where Norine shared a funny story about Arielle, who was eight at the time.

I am so sorry for your loss.
I met Norine for the first time years ago at a Dopefest, and always loved seeing her, her husband, and 3 daughters at subsequent Dopefests. I will really miss her. She was a wonderful person. I am so shocked and saddened by this loss.
