I have an Mp3 on my desktop. I tried to add it to iTunes by dragging and dropping, and also by using Add to library. It’s not there.
How do I do this?
Either of those methods should work fine, I’d guess there’s some problem with the file - does it play in any other software?
It plays when I double-click on it and iTunes opens.
Actually, I noticed it does not have the name I gave it. I see it now in the playlist where I put it.
iTunes uses the ID3 Tags to make the filename. Maybe your MP3 file doesn’t have the tags that you expected.
I have this problem too.
I have to actually play the track in iTunes to get it to port to my library.
It’s super-irritating when I have a few albums of tracks to import.
I’d be interested to know if there’s a simpler way.
