In the history of the SDMB has anyone ever been wrong about more things than adaher?

Speaking of reading, did you read this 500+ post thread? Because your stupid comment here tells me that you didn’t.

Go fuck a cactus, buddy.

I’d say D’Anconia gives adaher a run for his money on this page when he implies another poster is providing false information and -get this- repeatedly misquotes him despite multiple corrections.

The problem is D’Anconia lacks the volume and posting speed of adaher. (Also the sense of humor, willingness to admit error and even self knowledge, amazingly). So adaher remains the reigning champ. Obliviousness is simply no substitute for primordial wrongness.

See Post #493.

It isn’t so much the volume, it’s that the bulk of them are some variation of “hai guyz, Obama sux right? Democrats are big losers amirite? Hehehehe” while he plays pocket pool.

adaher’s biggest problem is massive, overwhelming laziness. He just refuses to actually expend any effort to verify if his assumptions and assertions are accurate. When called on it, he ignores it or sidesteps – he doesn’t even have the energy or desire to find out if the refutation is accurate.

He loves to post and hates to verify. Possibly the laziest poster on the Dope.

I’m one of those who regularly chide him for parroting Sean Hannity. But maybe that’s giving him too much credit - I sometimes wonder if he actually gets his talking points from Mallard Fillmore.

I totally agree. I actually think he’s quite a smart person: he’s well informed, he draws insightful connections between issues… but he never, ever backs anything up due to his laziness, and continually fails to carry out any critical analysis of conservative dogma. The best two examples of this have been his insistance that the polls were skewed and Romney was poised for a huge win, and his continual refrain that Republicans are on the verge of stealing huge swaths of Democratic support, such as women, young people, Hispanics, African Americans, union members, hippies, college professors, environmentalists, social liberals, Green Party members, poor people, and pot smokers.

I dunno. I think he’s improved a lot since the “skewed poll” days. On balance, I think he adds something to the boards now.

Even with my criticism, I don’t hate the guy, and I don’t want him to leave the board. I just want him to do better – I don’t think it would take much effort for him to actually verify his claims before posting them.

Elsewhere, I’ve encountered an Alex Jones-wannabe conspiracy crackpot who’d repost the latest Infowars outrage du jour without bothering to check its accuracy and go off into some conspiracist tangent when the repost invariably proves to be inaccurate.

Yes. A considerable amount of density.

He has a cognitive event horizon, intelligent light falls upon him but none ever escapes.

I can just see his teachers telling his parents “He could achieve so much if he’d only apply himself.”

He already threadshit a perfectly good thread I started by being critical of pollsters. As I mentioned in the thread, President Romney remembers how much he knew about pollsters.

More “concerns”…

I mean, without him and ITR Champion to constantly remind us of our true priorities, we’d undoubtedly be a bunch of lost and bereft souls.

Hey! He’s just asking questions!

Stupid thing to complain about, since the thread is interesting and I haven’t said a single controversial thing in it. Some people will bitch about anything.

Has the prevalence of undeserved bitching in this country increased since Obama took office? Mind you, I’m just asking.

Has fundamental dishonesty increased in our nation as a result of Obama, or was it already in place and caused the election of Obama? Are the Democrats directly causative of our moral decline, or are they simply taking advantage of it? Will we ever again have a President who reflects the candor, honesty and moral rectumtude of St. Ronnie of Bakersfield?

These are the burning questions! OK, maybe not “burning”, maybe just smoldering. Warmed over.
