I own the largest collection of Julian Lloyd Webber works this side of the Atlantic. Being a huge collector of Andrew, I picked up his brother’s “Lloyd Webber plays Lloyd Webber” LP and fell in love with his cello playing. I finally found a copy of Julian’s book “Travels With My Cello” after looking for 2 1/2 years, and fell in love with his writing style.
Julian is a classical cellist and also has a natural command of the English language (brother Andrew can barely speak or write, but makes up for it as a composer).
Now, when I go into ebay, the first thing I enter is “julian lloyd webber.”
I am not religious at all, yet I have over thirty CDS of ALW’s “Jesus Christ Superstar” in 11 different languages.
I dip my fried potatos in tarter sauce, yes I do and I like it. I also love corn bread in buttermilk with salt and pepper (yes mixed up in the same glass) and I would kill for a sandwich made with sliced banana, miracle whip, salt and pepper on white bread.
Oh and I like David Gates and Bread, country music from the 60s and 70s.
If I had ever gotten the chance as a teenager I would have soo done David Cassidy AND Bobby Sherman.
I have the LIONsob’s real name tattooed over my… ummmm… heart, yeah that’s it… over my heart.
Sorry… Godspell was the Senior Play when I was in 11th grade, and I was on Stage Crew. Good times.
My admittance: I underwent hypnosis to help combat a nervous habit I’ve had since the age of 4; it didn’t work. I still continuously pick and gnaw at the skin around my fingernails. Not a very attractive habit for a woman.
An admittance on behalf of my 28-year old sister: She and some friends are paying good money to go see Cher.
I really really enjoy the Sweet Valley High Sagas. Not the regular books, but the big editions that tell the story of one of the families of Sweet Valley from beginning to end. I also love all of the Anne of Green Gable books, although I didn’t pick them up until I was about 21. I still check out books from the teen section at the library on occasion (I’m 27.)
Sometimes I crave one of those really bad frozen pizzas that you can buy for $.89 at Kroger. And I watched “Boot Camp” on Fox a few years ago, and loved it. I’ve not watched another reality series since.
I’m not sure if this is wise because my SO often lurks the boards and discovers me and makes fun of me etc. etc. but, well, he knows all of these anyway so here goes:
I don’t like sport (and I work for a sports governing body shhh…)
I like old romantic comedies and musicals from before 1960.
I play Baldur’s Gate and the other Forgotten Realms games on my computer.
I watch Dawson’s Creek when I’m on my own.
:o
BTW I also do the talking to myself thing but I’m not embarassed about that. The conversations are usually so witty, debonair, eloquent…
I obsessively clean my ears with q-tips, not because they’re dirty, but because it feels good. I know it’s bad for me and even dangerous, but I can’t stop because it feels soooooo good.
I loved those books! Between SVH, and Baby Sitters’ Club, I was obsessed. I still look for them when I go to a bookstore, but sadly, they’ve been replaced by the Olsen twins…
I am male(no that isn’t one of them) and I have never seen a sporting event in it’s entirety…not a single World Series or Superbowl…not my high school teams nor my college teams
The most I’ve ever seen was perhaps 10-15 minutes of any one game
My second is while I like music as much as anyone else I have never bought a single 8 track, cassette, or CD of music in my life nor have I ever downloaded off the internet a single song
I HAVE purchased five LPs but three of those were comedy albums
