Industrial Music motif, significance of "destination?"

In the years that I’ve been listening to industrial, I’ve noticed one of the recurring motifs is that of “destination.” I can see how it works in the individual songs, but it seems that there’s more to it than that, almost like there’s an industrial injoke I’m missing.

Of course, now that I think about it, only three songs come to mind: Ministry’s “Just One Fix,” Skinny Puppy’s “Fascist Jockitch” and Tear Garden’s “You and Me and Rainbows.” Granted, these bands are essentially related, but IIRC the appearance of the term in them is in reverse chronological order to the way I have listed them.

Has anyone else noticed this, or am I trying to find a pattern where there isn’t one?

Beats me. As far as I’m concerned, it’s Destination Unknown.

I can’t say that I’ve noticed it at all, or at least haven’t noticed it in this type of music any more than I have in any other type of music. My vote is for coincidence.
