insommnia......tired of it!

Every Thanksgiving, Mrs. Roboto and I visit her family in a different timezone for a couple of weeks. When we return to our enchanted cottage the sandman finds humor in jerking my slumber routine around. Generally, falling asleep at 8:30 PM and arising at 3:30 AM and not able to return to Sleep causing this type of scenario…

Mrs. Roboto: “Whats wrong sweetheart? Heartburn”
Mr. Roboto: “No Sweetie, just can’t sleep”
Mrs. Roboto: " Is they’re anything I can do sweetpea?"
Mr. Roboto: “No’ just go back to sleep dear”
Mrs. Roboto: " I can’t now, because your awake"

I wish you a speedy recovery to your normal sleep schedule.

Been an insomniac all my life, me. My husband is pretty much used to it by now. Still, he’ll be out in a few moments, getting ready to go to work, and he’ll look at me through his squinty, still asleep eyes and croak: “Hey, silly goose. Did you sleep at all?”

Every single morning. I don’t mind, though, he’s just checking up on me, and he - lucky bastard whether he realises it or not - just woke up from a decent night’s sleep and hasn’t shaken it all off yet. Showoff.
