The cartoon or the 1970s TV movie?
Yeah! What Bear said!!!
And let’s not leave out another group that doesn’t get recognition:
Dyslexic Dopers - UNTIE!
Snickers. No, Reeses. Wait, Snickers…damn.
My idiot savant skill has always been to be able to identify obscure actors in old obscure movies and TV shows from memory. My brother, “It was Lee Marvin.” Me, “No it was Neville Brand.” I am right 99% of the time.
IMDB has rended this talent completely useless.
I have no talents or skills which can keep me out of this group.
Count me in. I am one of those people who comes here with questions, not answers.
I’m academically intelligent but I wouldn’t call myself smart enough to sit around General Questions all day and have a zillion cites at my fingertips.
How, praytell, did I miss this before? I belong in this club! Okay, so I can spell, but that’s about it. Utter the words “math” or “science” and I scream and run out. I don’t even open GD or GQ.
Am I in? Am I in? Huh? Huh?
Please?
[celestina staggers in]

Ahhh, there are good people here. Okay if I come in? My posts are ignored a lot too (whimper). There are so many little things I’d like to know—like “D’oh”. What does that mean? Does that mean what people mean when they say “Duh”? What omitted letter(s) does the apostrophe represent in “D’oh”? Is it pronounced to rhyme with “dough”? Go ahead; just ignore me. It’s too insignificant to bother with. Certainly can’t start a thread with that. But it should get me in the door here. I think.
We’ll acknowledge your posts, but you need to cut out these intellectual questions.
Yeah, but it sounded all pompous and stupid. What do you expect? Hopefully*, I’m in with a forgiving crowd.
*That should piss off certain intelectuall hoity-toities.
I believe “d’oh” is something Homer Simpson says, and that it’s basically pronounced “dough”.
IIUD: The Simpsons is too intelectuall for us.
I would proudly wear a shirt that reads ** Speling is my Fortay**
I don’t get it.
I thought it was spellled F-O-U-R-T-A-Y
If you can believe it, I made a shirt that says that.
Spelling has two l’s and forte is spelled forte.
Isn’t it forté? Or is that too French?
Spelling is my area of expertise, but no one gives a rat’s ass now that we have spellcheck.
Yes, it should have that thingy over the e. How’d you do that?
Mizquirk, how can yu untie with us inteleckshully infearior dopers if yu corekt our speling?
Ar yu shure yu arn’t a mole frum that inteleckshully soupearior crowd in GD?
Join? We were about to draft you.
