That’s not some weird outlier. If you randomly open the Bible there is a very slim chance you will see a verse about homosexuality, a zero percent chance you will see a verse condemning abortion, but a very good chance you will see a verse condemning oppressing immigrants or the poor, or explicitly commanding them to be cared for.

It doesn’t matter at all if you don’t read it “with GOD in your heart”, and since your opinion differs from theirs it is rather obvious to them that HE isn’t.

Maybe I read it wrong, but I took it that griffin1977 was addressing that to us, not to some hypothetical fundie.

I was in the sense that the OP seemed to be implying this verse was “interesting” meaning it was an unusual notable digression from all the condemnation of homosexuality and abortion that surely makes up the majority of the bible. I was just pointing out that was not the case at all, the bible is full of this kind of “wokeness”.
