I missed the Chicago meeting because of Josh and the car and I lost track of the DesMoines meeting.
So what I was wondering is if anybody closer to me wanted to get together. Or we could try again for DesMoines.
Lack of funds keeps me from Las Vegas, so everybody must have a drink for me for Wally.

I was within a few blocks,or maybe in front of your house, hell I don’t know,three times last week.
Mom had a triple bypass last week at Genesis East.
She is doing fine resting at home now.
My cousins house, the one that lives near you, was the official roundevous(sp) point.
Dad stayed in the hospital parking lot in their camper. Kind of funny but really quite practical.
I’m in! Name the date and place. Maybe beagledave would be up for it as well?

FWIW, Kricket, there was no such creature as a Des Moines meeting. 
But I’m planning on getting out to D’port at some point this month for a weekend of apartment hunting and reading the newspaper to Veb’s dog, so whenever you’re ready, lemme know.

Is July 29th too soon? Looks like a small enuff group we shouldn’t have too many problems.
Now how bout drinks and dancing? I’m not much of a drinker, but I like to go dance and enjoy the atmosphere. Any ideas for bars?
The dog thing: very simple, really. I was in the Quads for the weekend a couple months ago to attend an orientation at Marycrest and Veb was kind enough to allow me to invade her gorgeous big house in Rock Island. At one point late in the evening, we were hangin’ out in her bedroom. She was using the computer and I was laying on the bed reading a newspaper. Her big gorgeous dog hopped up, evidently jealous that this stranger had stolen her spot and she hopped up there and started nudging me and stuff. I figured, “Bowen always settles when he’s read to, let’s see how it works with the pooch.” So I started petting her and reading the news to her and she calmed down and cuddled up.
I sure do like that big cuddly pooch.
Anyway…at this point I don’t see why the 29th wouldn’t work for me…count me in for now and if something changes I’ll be sure to check in.
Just wanted to give it a bump to see if the 29th will work for everybody.
Anybody have any ideas on bars or a place to meet? How bout the Rusty Nail around 8 or 9? Any other suggestions. The district is too crowded but I am willing if that would be better.

Well, I got an apartment.
I’m moving in on the 29th. I’ll see what I can do about taking a break in the evening, otherwise you’re all welcome to come over and watch me sweat.
