Is Ann Coulter going to jail?

Did Ann Coulter Vote Illegally?

If it was an honest error, why won’t she cooperate with investigators and put this to bed? If there is a goddess in heaven, the Coultergeist will be put away until after the '08 election.

They won’t touch it. Too many headaches. For one thing, how do they decide whether to put Coulter in a men’s or women’s prison?

What I’ve read about the story doesn’t suggest that Coulter was deliberately trying to vote fraudulently, but I can’t figure out what she thought she was doing:

The fun part, of course, is comparing Coulter’s conduct with her own earlier condemnations of Palm Beach voters who couldn’t figure out how to vote correctly in the 2000 elections:

Coulter may be a ditz, and an evil lying ditz, but it’s hard to see this incident as something deserving of serious jail time. I don’t know, maybe she deliberately committed voter fraud to muster support for the conservatives’ voter-ID campaign? Makes about as much sense as anything else she does, AFAICT.

Sending Coulter to jail for this offence would be cruel and unusual punishment.

(For the other inmates…)

“Needed to file a change of address”? Unfortunately, if on election day your registration isn’t up to date with your current address, you don’t get to vote. That happened to me once. There should be some provision for election-day registration, but the Pubs have always been dead against that.

I don’t know, but I sure hope that Florida justice is quicker than Texas justice.
From 2004: Is Tom DeLay Going to Jail?

I find it funny that she has an Adam’s Apple. But no, she won’t get in any trouble.

Gosh, and I was thinking “the zoo, maybe?”…

Next on HBO: " Oz: Skank with a Shank!"

Y’know what it sounds like?
Like she did it, and is following it up uncooperatively, on purpose to make the PBC election process part of her Kaufmanesque “the joke’s on all of you but only I know the punchline” political schtick. At least were I a PBC elections official that would be my line: “We know this is part of her damn act, and we’re not playing along.”

Maybe it’d be a form of crime prevention – “Stay on the straight and narrow, or else we’ll lock you up with Ann Coulter!”

Perhaps we should just pass a law making it illegal to be Ann Coulter.

Sing along time!

H…A…double R, I…D A N spells “harridan”…

I’m sure they’ll get to the bottom of the matter quickly. When has an Arthur Anderson investigation ever resulted in any impropriety?

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, good one!

There’s always horsey jail.

I believe this is called “projection.”

Anyone’s who’s familiar with some of the things this woman has said, has to admit there’s a real possibility she’s genuinely mentally ill. And her aberrations are focused on the government. Expecting her to make rational decisions in a situation like this may be beyond her.

I feel bad for whoever ends up being her prison bitch.

In some states there are, mine included. It looks like we’re in the minority, though: ID, ME, MN, NH, WI, WY. Half of them are “red states” so are you sure it’s a republican problem?
