When a number shows up on my J in the corner, that means I have new notifications. And I used to be able to click and see the posts that got comments. But in the last three days, I just get a spinning disc, and the comments never resolve.
Is this a Discourse thing, or something in my computer?

To expand: I have a “2” on my J, and I could not get a list of replies - one of which ws of course this thread. 
eta: sometimes it says “you don’t have any notifications yet”.
