I don’t think you said anything wrong. Just so you know. I feel sorry for Britney too, in a mild, ‘I don’t know her or really care’ kinda way. I think she’s sorta having a very public nervous breakdown, and she and her family are going to feel badly about it for a long time after we’ve all forgotten it. I don’t think there’s anything judgemental about expressing sympathy in a situation like that. I can’t believe that you are getting slammed here for being mean to Britney when others are scrutinizing and judging the attractiveness of her labia majora, and finding them lacking, for god’s sake.
So don’t worry, Scotticher. At least one other person feels as you do. This thread has gone off the rails on the crazy train, but reality check-- feeling sorry for someone who is obviously hurting, even if you don’t like or even respect that person, is not wrong to do. It’s called compassion, and if you have to get some feeling worked up about a celebrity you don’t know, that’s not a bad one to go with.

You say this like you’re proud of it? Is there some approbrium attached to reporting a post? If you hear someone prowling around your yard at night, do you “handle it yourself” or do you call the cops? Moderators can’t be everywhere and can’t see everything, and we rely on your help in reporting spammers and other violations. There’s no shame in doing it; to the contrary, you win the applause of your fellow posters and the moderators.
