Is Pete Davidson's life really that interesting?

Yeah, and Pekar inspired a generation of alternative cartoonists to chronicle their mundane lives. I was addicted to them, especially Dennis Eichhorn, and the talent he had draw his stories.

Pete learned The Secret from Scott Baio?
I once saw Pekar in a grocery store, he looked so meek, unlike when he was on Letterman.

They’re funny, conventionally attractive, confident enough to work on a live TV show, and they work in an industry where they can actually meet women like Scarlet Johansson, Kate Beckinsale, and so on.

Well, if he didn’t have an interesting life when he started out, he’s got one now. Who’s he banging this week?

Chase Sui Wonders:

My local news channel has tweeted something about a car accident he was in, and caused.

My apology, I got that wrong. I’d thought it had just happened. Time to go to bed.

If I understand the article, the charge did just happen, for an incident that happened earlier this year.

Lorne Michaels LOVES him. He literally took Davidson on vacation with him.

Michaels’ affection for an actor determines their success level on SNL and opens doors for them elsewhere. That affection has never really been all that tied to talent, but it’s never been as extreme as it is in the case of Davidson.

John Mulaney is a pill monkey and serial adulterer. You shouldn’t have thought much of him to start with.

I saw his bit about rehab and getting clean. He was funnier when he was doing drugs IMO.

Yeah I’ll have to try Mulaney’s new special again but it was way less funny than his previous specials. I figured we would be hearing about what happened with his wife but maybe he couldn’t figure out a way to make that funny.

Mulaney is funny and has done some incredibly creative projects like Documentary Now and the Sack Lunch Bunch. Davidson is neither funny, nor creative.

I don’t think celebrities are nice people and I think it’s really weird to think that they’re your pals.
