Well, in hearing the commercials, I swear it was Yakko from the Animaics… am I wrong?
That’s Rob Paulsen, who’s done a ton of voice-over work. In his IMDB profile, it shows he did one ep of Batman - The Animated Series, but no Yu-Gi-Oh.

Considering he’s done so much voice work, several other voice actors may be influenced by his work and come up with voices close enough that you mistook them for ‘yakko warner’. Just a wild-ass theory

In a not-so-likely to be on Saturday morning commercial, he also does the voice of “Mr. Opportunity” in the Honda ads.
If you’ve ever played the “Metal Arms: Glitch in the System,” Paulsen’s voice goes to almost every enemy in the game. German Yakko, Russian Yakko, Yakko on fire.

I’m glad it’s not just my imagination. I thought those commercials sounded like Yakko, and it’s been kinda bothering me, because I miss the Animaniacs. Stoopid Coconut Fred [sub]grumble grumble.[/sub]

Paulsen’s official website. He has a number of voices that are different (for example, Pinky of Pinky and the Brain and Carl Wheezer of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius), but most of his characters sound like Yakko (in fact, I just heard one in a trailer for a WB animated film called The Ant Bully). Kinda like Cree Summer is usually stuck doing a voice I call “Sassy Black Girl” (Foxxy Love on Drawn Together, Numbah Five on Codename: Kids Next Door, Rayna on The Buzz on Maggie, etc., etc., etc.). Many voice actors seem to have a “go-to voice” or at least a voice they fall back on- that Ant Bully trailer also featured a character doing a Schwartzenegger impression- it was obvious to my ears it was Daran Norris doing his Jorgen von Strangle voice. Cartoon voice acting is interesting, it’s a shame there hasn’t been many books written about it. Keith Scott, an Australian animation historian who is also the current voice of Bullwinkle (no relation to Ward staffer and original Bullwinkle Bill Scott), is in the process of writing one.’
I’m trying to come up with a good joke, but all I can think of is:
First German Yakko Soldier: Ve haff captured you! Now you vill be the star attraction at Adolf World, the theme park devoted to the titular Fuhrer!
Second German Yakko Soldier: (blows kiss) G’night, everybody!
