I do refrain from using it, everyone seems to forget that I’m the one that is okay with limiting it’s use to the Pit, where I rarely post. I’m also in favor of a bright line rule for it’s use. So please don’t imply that I’m looking for a way to use the word that will get around the mods. I already asked you once, politely, in this thread not to act like you can read my mind.
What I’m saying is what you have is not a plan, it’s an idea. A plan would outline what you are trying to accomplish and how you intend to accomplish it.
Just telling posters to report misogyny is useless if the mods don’t take action on it, like the threads that are discussed here. And, again, your new plan seems to be the same as the old plan from five years ago. The plan that allowed qunt and women asking to be raped to go unchallenged by a lot of mods.
What is it specifically about this plan that is different, and how will it accomplish what the first plan failed at? Is that really too much to ask for?
My takeaway from this is that neither the rules, nor policy, nor approach have changed. The mods didn’t take any steps to prevent a future “qunt” episode, aside from their personal experience of having made a mistake and having had to fix it:
You know what they say about trying the same thing over and over, expecting different results? This is a prime example. Wishful thinking is a terrible option when you have an easy fix that would stop the need for a thread like this ever again. So, good luck, I guess?
Shodan’s banning has nothing at all to do with the topic of this thread. Those who can’t get over his banning are just going to have to deal with it. Don’t keep bringing it into unlrelated threads.
Let’s have no more discussion of Shodan in this thread.
