I agree, and have had this conversation with a few friends. We can’t figure out exactly what is different though. I prefer the version from last year, but the newer cans are cooler.

The current Mountain Dew throwback is definitely different than the last. This time, orange juice concentrate is listed as an ingredient and it tastes more like the current Dew.

I missed the Throwback Pepsi the last time it came out, but I was able to find it this time in my local supermarket.

It looks cool - the old packaging (even though it’s in the new fridge-friendly shape), but tell me the folks at Pepsi don’t have a sense of humor. I gave two of my friends a can each and we all agreed it was okay, but still tasted like Pepsi in a can. I couldn’t really tell the difference. But when we all checked the “Best by Date on Bottom of Can” date, it was funny to find they all said “11/10/1955”.

Okay, maybe it was some sort of product code or something on it, but it was still damn funny.
