An RSS feed will send them to your computer, but you’ll still have to be the one to print them out, though I suppose that there are DIY ways of automating the process. I imagine that when someone finally comes up with a decent ebook reader, you’ll see “bookcasting” software (assuming there isn’t already).
There is a Slate daily papers “Textcast,” which updates like a regular podcast to your iPod, but doesn’t contain any audio. It instead uses the “notes” function to provide a detailed, yet summarized look at the front pages of several major daily newspapers. Something like this, combined with a script running on your machine could probably do what you want.
So, it’s possible, but I don’t know of anyone doing it.
Hmm, I’m seeing a Web 2.0 start up company shortly to be gobbled up by Google/Yahoo/Microsoft for big buck$$$. I’m thinking we need to be the one’s to start it! Who’s with me?
I don’t know about printouts, but you can do something similar with a PDA. For years I’ve been using AvantGo on various PDAs (currently Palm TX). I think of it as a text version of Podcast - the PDA downloads text from selected web sites every time I sync with the desktop.
