I really want to keep to the once per thread guideline as far as my sig, but I hate that the default is checked. No matter howmany times I uncheck the box, the next time it still needs to be done. Can I change this, or is it just one more thing I’ll have to try to remember?

I do want to have a sig. I just want it to come up once a thread as per board guidelines. I just keep forgetting to uncheck that damn little box. I never had the problem before the software upgrade. Is there really nothing that can be done? It seems that if the board administration wants to limit the number of times sigs appear, it would make much more sense for the default to be off/unchecked. Is there a VB options screen where they can control the default? If so, I beg of the powers that be to change the setting!

There’s no way for you to change that. They’ll probably change it when things quiet down again. Until then, no one will mind if you forget to turn it off occasionally. We’re all in the same boat.
We are aware of this and hope to change the default to OFF sometime soon. This can only be done from the Admin control panel.
