Is there a way to tell if a poster has you on Ignore?

The name grays out when you click on their name and view their profile or click on one of the other options that come up. Click on some ones name that is blue, view their profile and then come back to this thread and the name will now be gray.

HIt’s that some usernames have the green dot but the name is a faded gray. I wondered if that was a sign.

That has to do with if the poster is online or not, or if the poster had their online status set to invisible.

That’s true if the dot is gray. If the user’s name is gray, it indicates a followed hyperlink and just means you’ve viewed that user’s profile at some point.

I don’t have anyone on Ignore, but I believe when you see a post from someone you are Ignoring it doesn’t disappear - it apppears empty with a message inside it that says something like “This poster is on your Ignore List” with a link to click if you want to see the post anyway. But AFAIK the post numbering doesn’t change.

If you’re using Tapatalk on a mobile device, then a post by someone on your Ignore list doesn’t show up at all, and the post numbers change accordingly, so there’s no way to tell if an ignoree posted.

The only exception I’ve noticed is if the ignoree happens to have posted the first post or last post on a page (1,20,21,40 etc). Then, the numbering gets screwed up a bit, but the post and the poster’s name still don’t show at all.

It’ll turn blue again if the link disappears from your browser history. Two ways this can happen:

1. You delete the entire browser history, or just the part of it containing that link.
2. The link ages off of the browser history.

I think in an earlier thread on the Ignore function, it was mentioned that you can’t put a moderator on your Ignore list.
