and credit card?
We’ll have different accounts, of course, but we’d always be posting from the same terminal. Any concerns?

I’m not a mod, of course, but I’d have one worry:
Who stays in charge of the killer bees?
No problem at all. Plenty of Doper couples do this.
:: shuddering ::
Ye Gods. People actaully remember my posts.
Thanks; I just wanted to make sure.
Just make sure you log out…Airman Doors/MsRobyn have posted under each other’s user names accidentally before.
So, she’ll be joining out happy little cult-mmunity? Prepares squid and goat…
i’m sorry for breaking the rules. i tried to register under kim the rhymer and it seemed to accept me, but i have not gotten an email confirmation and i didn’t see how to report a problem. i will log out now because i don’t want to endanger this account. again, sorry, just couldn’t figure out how to report problem.
I’ve alerted TubaDiva. She will fix it.
wee!
tell tuba it’s ok. the notification was in my junk email thing.
Welcome aboard, Kim!
thk you.
No problems, Kim. We’re happy to have you.
Just be sure to log out at the end of your session and your spouse should do the same, otherwise the system will default and one of you will end up posting under the other’s screen name.
That being said, this will probably happen sooner or later – if it does, it’s not a bannable or even a yellable offense, so don’t worry about it. But do get in the habit of closing out your session by logging off.
One easy way to keep your accounts straight is to set up separate profiles on the web browser you use. Every time you start up the browser, it’ll ask you who you are. This way, you can both stay logged in on your own profile, and you can also maintain separate bookmark lists and the like.
To take it a step further, you could also have separate login accounts on the computer as a whole. Whether this would be more or less convenient for you depends on your patterns of using the computer. If you go this route, I would recommend that you use different images for your desktop background, so you can tell at a glance who’s logged in.
we have separate accounts on the computer so i think it shd be fine.
This is a related question for Tuba…
Since husband & wife may pay for an account with the same credit card and use the same IP, yet paying for two accounts with the same card and using the same IP is a hallmark of socks, does the system reflexively flag this action for mod treatment? Could that be the cause of the -Rhymer’s problems?
Nothing of substance to add here, just a welcome to the boards. I’ve always felt an odd kinship with Skald, probably because any time I look for my own post in a long thread (to find later posts that I haven’t read yet), I’ll search on “rhy,” a relatively rare letter combination. His name pops up, and I say a mental hello—so welcome to the boards!
I’ll be seeing you~
Rhythm
As others have indicated, we have other couples and roommates who share computers. The payment system is separate from the board, and the staff does not have access to that stuff at all. The problem was that the confirmation email went into Kim’s spam folder.
Yes, it should be Mrs. Rhymer & me.
Welcome aboard, Mrs. Rhymer!
Well, if you want to be really nitpicky, it should be the possessive form, i.e.:
Is there any problem with Mrs. Rhymer & my using the Dope on the same computer?
However, that looks so bad that you might want to redraft, e.g.:
Can both Mrs. Rhymer & I use the Dope on the same computer?
You know, I was just thinking about you today, gigi.
On Kim’s behalf I’ll thank you for the welcome. I’m not sure how much she’s going to post; she finds Great Debates intimidating. I’d name names, but I’m busy plotting revenge.
You need both to be possessive, i.e.: Is there any problem with Mrs. Rhymer’s and my using the Dope on the same computer?
This does not, incidentally, make it any less ugly.
