Not for Barley’s necessarily. They don’t get hopping until later. I met some friends there on a Saturday last weekend and it was pretty empty at 7.
Could we just call and warn em? Like “Hey, we’re gonna have a party of like 20 people there on Saturday night, so be prepared?” Or not worth the time?
Thats probably the best thing to do is to give them a heads up. 100watts is right, I have been down to Barleys on a Saturday night several times and the place normally doesn’t get jumping until 9 or later. The key word there is normally.

Yea, any office-type place should have em. We may pick a couple up, just so when we’re wandering around lost, someone’ll figure out who we belong to.

My family and I will probably get there around 7:00pm. Since Sophie (the baby, not the SDMB poster) usually eats around that time, we’ll probably go ahead and order her meal. I’ll put the table in the name of “Cecil Adams” (or how about Ed Zotti - he never seems to get this special honor

Kidding aside, I’m wondering what I should wear on my head. Should I just leave my glorious chrome dome in place, or perhaps my festive green-and-white Cat in the Hat hat, or my amazingly cool PvP Gaming Fez would be appropriate? Hmmm.
The Cat in the Hat hat would be a hit with the baby, but might draw one or two askance glances from the other patrons. Otoh, the PvP Gaming Fez will be seen as amazingly geeky - this is Knoxville, after all.

Well I got my schedule last night and they have me posted as working Saturday night. Don’t panic. I talked to my manager and they said they would change it. I told her I had to be in Knoxville at 7:30pm June 14. I was more than a little aggravated when I seen they didn’t give me the night off, especially since I have been with them since October and the only day I have requested was my dental appointment a couple months ago. I am coming hell or high water Saturday! Are we still on?

Yep, I’ll still be there. With changes in my schedule, I no longer have to work at all Saturday (I’ll be working all day Friday instead).
I’m even going to try to get ahead on my classwork for the following week so that just maybe I won’t have that in the back of my mind!
Well I just went online to retrieve my schedule and they changed it. I am officially off on Saturday. Whoo-Hoo! I’m much happier now. See you all then! 
I’m kinda touch and go right now. It looks like I’ll be there but it’ll be last minute if I can’t make it. It sucks but it’s the best I can do. Also, if I come, I’ll have a guest. But like I said, it looks good right now.
I just got my schedule and I have to work.
