Is my husband my perfect mate? Oh, absolutely. I could go on and on about him and how wonderful he is, but you don’t want to hear me gush. I am totally in love with him.
I’d like to add on to this, because it’s part of what makes my husband so good for me—find someone who can live with your flaws, too.
I had an idea of what a perfect mate would be. Miguel didn’t fit that idea at all, and yet he’s my perfect mate.
Well, that might be important if I had any flaws. Fortunately for both of us, I’m perfect.
Oh yes, my husband is definitely my Perfect Mate.
He is a “glass half-full” kind of guy, while I am a “glass half-empty” kind of girl.
He is mellow, while I’m a spaz.
He sees the silver lining, I usually only see the cloud.
We are very different, but in some ways we are almost exactly the same - it’s impossible for me to explain, I wish I were more eloquent. We have only been together for 3 years but we so often think and say the exact same thing, it’s freaky.
We have the perfect balance of similarites and dissimilarities - we can always relate to each other, but we never get bored with each other.
He has changed my life.
Plus, he is the ONLY PERSON I know that I 100% completely trust.
Well, I’ve been training him for more than 12 years now, if I haven’t got him perfect I have only myself to blame.
I’m only half joking. My husband is much closer to being my Perfect Mate now than when I married him. Having a history is wonderful. The huge base of shared memories, allusions and private jokes can never be replaced with another person. Especially because we started out young (18 when we met). We’ve really had a hand in creating each other that I don’t think could ever be duplicated.
So even though we do drive each other crazy from time to time, he is about as perfect for me any anybody in this life is ever going to be.
