Isolated shit, courtesy your neighbourly right wing scumbag

But here’s the thing - only two people were needed to perpetrate the Oklahoma City bombing which killed 168 people; only one person perpetrated the 2017 Vegas mass shooting, which killed 61 people; and only four people were required to bomb the London Underground in 2017, killing 56 people; as well as numerous other mass killings plus associated injuries.

Granted, all of these perpetrators are vile people, but they’re not necessarily idiots when it counts. It’s this sort of thing that worries me.

Agree, and fair point. So far the RWNJs appear more interested in targeting government officials, law enforcement, and security types. These are all better trained and better armed than the crazy rabble. Hopefully they’ll give up before moving on to softer targets.

It’s good that you said that! Real good!

Win-win.

Hey buddy, as a taxpayer, those bullets aren’t cheap.

sent from my handbasket to hell

Not to address it lightly, but that’s why they call it terrorism.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting that they can’t or won’t do any damage at all. Only that what they can do is likely to be unorganized and ineffectual (with a few exceptions) and that it will not lead to widespread armed conflict.

Part of our job is to make sure that political violence does not become ho-hum normal.

I was listening to NPR this morning and they had some analyst on who said she was seeing the same chatter that she saw just before January 6. The same rhetoric, calls to action, threats, etc.

To me the difference is Trump, Trump gathered all those loonies together, pumped them up, pointed them at a specific target with a specific goal, and told them to go to war.

If he doesn’t do that again then I expect this chatter will just stay chatter aside from a couple of unstable people who go off on suicide runs like this latest rube.

Meanwhile…

Did you read that articles you linked to? They’re saying the same thing I said. Right wing violence was at record highs during the four years of the Trump administration. But it’s been reduced since the Biden administration took over federal law enforcement.

So we can add domestic terrorism to the list of problems that can be solved by not electing Republicans.

But BLM! ANTIFA! Burning cities!

The antifa violence between 2016 and 2020 was nothing compared to the antifa violence between 1941 and 1945. And who was running the country back then? A Democrat!

Good thing too. If we had today’s crop of Republicans running the country in 1941, we’d be typing this in German now.

That is no joke. They fawn over the likes of Putin and Orban. I could see them supporting Germany’s takeover of Europe the same way they support Putin taking over Ukraine.

Many of their parents/granparents were probably quiet supporters of the Reich.

“I know they say on the radio that the Nazis are bad, but I still like what they’re doing about the Jews and those fellas that like other fellas.”

I would like to say you are mistaken, but a late 'Doper who was a B-24 pilot remarked that during the war, that comment was made by some aircrew.

Truman refused to take any “Jew boys” to Potsdam, and he a Democrat.

The parties hadn’t switched places yet.

Though anti-Semitism was pretty common in the country as a whole, I expect through both parties.

Investigation is still under way for motive, but I think the takeaway should be fairly obvious here that it most likely wasn’t “antifa” or some such.

I’ll be waiting for the “thoughts and prayers” for Mr. Pelosi. Then blaming lib San Francisco’s homeless population, and illegals, and the state of mental health care in Newsom’s People’s Republic of Californ-I-A. It can’t be someone from their team.

I really hope this is isolated shit, and not the start of some trend, or some tit-for-tat “they put one of ours in the hospital, we put one of theirs in the morgue” situation. It’s actually pretty concerning, IMHO.

Or that it was an ANITFA false flag and Mr. Pelosi is a crisis actor and there was no attack.

And even it it was a politically motivated conservative who made the attack its the Democrats fault for being so divisive.
