It isn't easy being green in the MMP

**doggio **- I don’t know what you’re expecting of your meet-up with Jim, but in Annapolis, underwear, clean or otherwise, never entered into it. At least I don’t think so - I don’t know what happened after I left…

Wotan does spend quite a bit of time recapping, “Last Time, on Der Ring des Nibelungen.”

My son heads back across the state today. I’ll miss have him here. I didn’t get to spend much time with him because of work. He also had a lot of reading to do for school. However, I am happy we got to spend some time with him and we managed to accomplish some things while he was here; taxes, buying him a replacement vehicle, and FASFA.

We have to meet with the people who have cleaned up and painted MiL’s house in preparation for sale. The had a lot of stuff to clean up and repair, so the check we write them will not be small. :frowning: On the other hand, it would have taken us forever to do it on our own and there were some repairs we would have had to pay some one to do anyway.

After that, it back home to chores and laundry. I need to run my rig through the car wash and get some gas for it too.

Howdy Y’all! All deheathenated Luterun style. However, since YP preached and presided I guess I got kinda deheathenated Whisypalian style as well. N.O.L. shall consist of whatever sammich can be made out of whatever ingredients in da fridge. Sounds like a plan to me.

I knew somebody named Wotan. He was a fantastic violinist and a great person to know.

Jim and doggio [del]don’t forget your axes[/del] have fun tonight!

Good name for a musician.

I’m thinking of having lunch soon and then maybe working on some music. I’ve got a piece of music sketched out, but the piano part needs some chiseling. (That’s an actual musical term! Okay, no it’s not. :stuck_out_tongue: )

Happy Sunday

It’s a cloudy 42 degrees with a projected high 48.

I’m up and hydrating with some cupo’noodles. The breakfast of champions.
The hot broth makes my morning throat feel better and the noodles are easy on the morning tummy.
I’ll caffienate in a bit.

I need to work today but the HFH are making so much noise that I’m afraid to log in. I think ::crossing fingers:: that they may be packing shit up. Then again maybe they are trying to make more room in the bedroom by piling more shit in the living room.
I usually ignore them but I’ll have to watch to see if they are carrying stuff out of the house to their cars.
I swear if they leave before I do it’s gonna be home made manicotti and champagne for dinner. It may even be just one great big blow out party to celebrate.

We need to go to the store today. I think Sah-dog needs food, and we need food. Sah-son is still in bed I think, with all the noise I doubt he is sleeping. I hate shopping on a Sunday but I’m going to be gone all day tomorrow.

My studio is now tidy, awaiting my next artistic spate of creativity. Maybe tomorrow…

Let’s hope they’re departing,** sari**.

I’ve done better keeping up with reading this week, but not posting. Meetup earlier in the week looked like fun. Wish you were stopping by Columbus, Jim.

Nephew is at his Mom’s for the week for his Spring break (well, really, he’s at his friends’ having a Spring break blowout till tomorrow; I hear it’s wild and crazy - my brother was asked for a basketball AND a football yesterday).

Should be doing something productive right now, but am…avoiding.

Off I go to make an attempt at…something.

Hugs all.

GT

Just irking irking irking here.
They left but their damn dogs keep barking. I think the dogs are fighting.
I didn’t look to see if they put stuff in the car but it sounded like stuff was banging on the way out the door. I hope they are moving stuff out but who knows, they may just be moving it to storage.

Tomorrow I go to see one last house and then I’m making my offer. My mother is mad at me so who knows, I may be homeless anyway.

I just made the best lunch ever. I sauteed some mushrooms and onions in butter and put it on toast. Yummy!

Swampy, two years ago, we were away, staying in a 3-story, 9-bedroom house & one of the smoke detectors decided to chirp every so often during the night. One guy got up & tried to find it but couldn’t (it’s kinda hard when you don’t know where they are) - he was not a happy camper on the ride back the next day!

Moommm went commando?!?!?
Had three meals, two of 'em breakfasteseses before noon.
(& I’m still probably net negative calories for the day.)

Since my last post I have made a sammich and et it, taken a nappy poo, and now have a load of laundry in the washer. It’s just a whirlwind around heah! ‘Tis also a bit windy out, so the itty bitty blossoms on the Bradford pear trees are blowin’ around. I looked out the dinin’ room window a little bit ago and it sorta looked like snow flurries. Also, the pine tree orgy is in full swing. Every once in a while I see little yellow clouds blowin’ around outside. ICK! OYKW and I are gonna meet up at the not too shabby local Chinese [del]hog trough[/del] buffet in a while to grab some dindin so that’ll be nice.

I have had a fantastic but very busy weekend. Saturday was errands in town as usual, then I got my hair cut and picked up my new specs so I can read properly again! In the evening, we went to see Tyketto at a local venue - absolutely awesome performance from a band I’ve seen many times in the 25 years they’ve been going.

Today I went over to see my doting parent and did all the things she’d been saving up for me. Now I am back home, it’s time for a nice relaxing bath before dinner.

I’m really looking forward to next weekend when I am home alone and unsupervised, I think I’ll be catching up on my sleep!

I’m watching my local band (the Montreal Symphony Orchestra) on a webcast from their European tour. Great music. I just wish the sound wouldn’t cut out so often.

Haven’t seen them live in ages.

Off to meet OYKW for an early pigout at the Chinese [del]hog trough[/del] buffet. Good thing cause I’s hongry!

Why is a band not a symphony, wood winds?

The words “band” and “orchestra” are kind of fluid in definition. I was being jokey/affectionate when referring to the Montreal Symphony Orchestra as a “band.”

Usually an orchestra made up of wind instruments is called a “concert band” or a “wind symphony” or a “wind orchestra,” adding to the confusion.

The Montreal Symphony Orchestra is playing Ravel’s “Bolero” now. I don’t like it as much as the other Ravel pieces they played earlier (Mother Goose Suite and Daphnis and Chloe) but I’ll go along with it.

Back from the Chinese [del]hog trough[/del] buffet. ‘Twas good tonight. Usually it is at best ok but tonight we both pronounced it good. Now I am settled in da cave for the evenin’.

Afghan assemblage has begun. Supper will be ham, cabbage, and crescent rolls.

I thought the difference between a band and an orchestra was the inclusion of strings. I suppose I could look it up…

The face has changed… All this fender needs now is a couple of coats of clear.

And that’s the latest news from FairyChatEstates!

I think I’ll bail for the day! MWAH!!
