It isn't easy being green in the MMP

Not a bad recipe, but I recommend not burning the cookies. I hate hate hate my Baker’s Secret cookie sheets I need to invest in more of the insulated sheets. But those that didn’t burn are quite good.

I think it’s time to knit the night away. *** MWAH!***

FCM I like the ghostly effect a well.

Meeting with the realtor on Monday, I’m sure the house won’t sell by then and she sent me a listing to check out so I will.

I feel icky today, I keep getting dizzy. If it doesn’t get better I’ll call the doc on Moonday, maybe my meds need adjusting.

I should be irking, I need to make up for taking off Thorsday but irk is irksome today and I just don’t wanna.
Sometimes I wish I could talk about my job, I could amuse you with the stories of the crazies, the ones who think the problem is caused by the government spying on them and recently one who is sure it’s aliens.

swampbear, come visit here in Kansas and we can get a real Dopefest going! I’ll provide the food if you will cook, your meal preparation posts make my mouth water.

DeathMistress between my cookin’ and your bakin’ we could fatten up a whole lotta dopers.

I was just outside. If’n I didn’t just know better, as in it’s way too early in the year, I would swear I heard a whole buncha cicadas chirpin’ away. It’s that sound like a bunch of diesel engines idlin’ away. Waaaaaaaay to early to hear cicadas. So maybe one of my neighbors behind me has a bunch of Mack trucks on idle.

I have beaten you all in the accomplishment department today. I lost count, but I know that I completed at least 20 job applications today. Yuck.

Now I’m waiting for RT to call me back and then I’m going to bed.

Don’t do it, Swampy!
Richard Hickock and Perry Smith were from Kansas!

Worked. I got a bit of a blurf.:dubious: more work tomorrow.

 I should be there around 8ish.

I overslept & am still up at this un-Ogly hour. Came downstairs & hear a “chirp”. Okay, the battery’s dying on the smoke detector, now which one? Locate it, unplug it & pull the battery (AC w/ battery backup) & it continues to chirp for another 5-6 minutes. Finally, it lets out this dying gasp chirp & only then decides to remain silent. I’ve had the new smoke detector sitting there (you should replace them every 10 years!); guess today’s a good day to install it, huh?

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 57 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 74 for the day and sunny. Tomorrow and Tuesday highs will be in the 60s, then 50s on Wednesday, then back to the 70s. I’m sure some rain will get thrown in there somewhere.

Spidey at least the dang thing died and does not chirp every half hour or so until you change it out. I had one to do that. Of course it was durin’ sleep time and right outside the bedroom door to boot. Every half hour, chirpchirpchirpchirpchirpchirp for a couple minutes and then stop.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, purtification for deheathenization must commence. I shall deheathenate with the Lutherans this mornin’ as I agreed to be a Lector for the nine o’clock service.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Good morning! I just checked the weather - winter will be here for the next 4 days - highs in the 40s, lows in the 20s. ick. Plus rain tonight and possible snow on Tues. We are NOT amused.

I need to make 3 more squares for the afghan, and I really should go finish organizing my studio, so one or the other or possibly both will happen today. Or not. It’s all a matter of motivation, isn’t it? And paint. **FCD **plans to paint on the fender some more today, and even with an exhaust fan going, it gets stinky in the basement. Honestly, I don’t know how he tolerates it - I get headaches from the various chemical smells.

I caught the last part of The Mouse That Roared last night - it was such a cute movie and Peter Sellers did an amazing job with the multiple roles.

Let us go forth and have a day! Happy Sunday!!

FCM, the movie was cute but the book was better, as is often the case. I actualy have an old copy in hardback, as well as two sequels. I don’t know why they don’t remake the original, it had a cute, young, duchess Gloriana, not a doddering old one.

I don’t think Peter Sellers could have played a cute, young duchess.

Please don’t mention remake too loudly - some moron will come up with a screenplay that only superficially resembles the original and some other moron will decide to make it, ruining it for all eternity. Nope, no remake. Nothing to see here…

Good morning, everyone.

We had an eventful evening. One of our many cats decided to catch a mouse, kill it, and give it to us as a gift. They left it in their water dish. Good kitties!

Nothing is on the agenda for today, other than baking some oatmeal-chocolate chip cookies, for Mr. Ace to take with him on his run next week. I’ll get started on that in a bit. I want to make a couple loaves of bread, as well. He’ll take one of those with him, too. For now, I’m vertical, and swilling coffee. I can’t decide if I want to make burgers for dinner, Salisbury steaks, or some form of chicken. Decisions, decisions.

It’s supposed to be a cool-ish day, with the high temperature somewhere in the 30s. Whatever. Springtime weather is more than welcome to come for a long, long visit. We’re expecting about 1/2" of snow at some point Monday night, into Tuesday morning.
Kill me now.

Have a good Sunday!

Good morning!

Time for me to get to work again. (That’s why I’m here goofing off!)

The opera last night was fabulous! It was an Italian opera by Bellini, based on the story of Romeo and Juliet. The music was gorgeous. Even when the characters were singing about negative things like war and violence and death, the music was still beautiful.

I’m feeling a little better today.

Still much to be worked on.

Just another rainy Sunday. Next Sunday that lives up to its name, I’m going on a short road trip.

Nothing big planned for the day. I need to get my entry for the Great Popularity Contest written. That’s about it. Do I live a life of excitement and thrills or what?

We had breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Now we’re home, and it’s cold and overcast out and I don’t feel like doing anything. My mom is on a cruise around New Zealand - wish I was there. Oh well, forward into the day!

I wonder why Wagner didn’t write about Romeo and Juliet.
It is after all the perfect German love story-everyone who counts, dies.
Perhaps he thought it would be viewed as a remake of Tristan and Isolde.

Up, caffeinated, off to work. 9 hours till I get to meet the Cap’tn. I’m wearing clean underwear, in case there’s a Sharktapult[sup]TM[/sup] accident.:wink:

Spidey, that reminds me. I need to have the one that got drowned in the Great Apartment Monsoon of '14 replaced.

For those of you who are off(and if you’re in the MMP, you’re slightly off;)), keep slacking!

For those of you who are supposed to be working, GET ON WITH IT!

Maybe he couldn’t make the story long enough? :stuck_out_tongue:
