I’ve checked one thing off of my to do list so far this morning. Only 13 more to go!:dubious:
I’m up and caffeinated. Off to laundry before work.
BBBobbio, I’m amazed how much Gordie poops in a day. Especially when he gets down to the Horrifying Green Goo.
Sticky, at least it’s progress.
Yay for home hubby. Ace.
Isn’t it strange how 52° and sunny can be quite pleasant, but 52° when overcast and breezy is just not. I did drive the riding mower around the front and back yards to mulch up the debris, and I tried driving down the side along the road, but the leaves are too thick and too wet. So I parked the mower.
I also cleaned out the planters on the back porch, but it’s too cold to plant the seeds I have, especially with snow promised next week, so that will have to wait. When/if the sun comes out, I will venture forth again. But for now, I opt for warm.
Awake after an 11+ hr crash & burn marathon. I hope to do that all weekend in anticipation of not sleeping next week. It sure feels good to have a long sleep in!
Will spend the next 2 days packing carefully for the trip. I need to pretend I am going overseas myself, so I need to balance bringing all the stuff I want with limiting the load.
Should be interesting…
**tugig **- just a thought - you probably won’t need your tux.
Going to an opera at McGill tonight. I hope that it’ll make me feel a little less down. Wish I haven’t been feeling so down lately, but perhaps this feeling will pass. I dunno. A lot going on, in the outside world and in my mind.
How cool is this? It started with a picture he found on line and modified, then I suggested he add the ivy, and we found some pics to work from. For an engineer, he’s pretty artistical! Next step is to put the cherry red over it.
Happy Saturday!
It’s 49 and cloudy with a projected high of 71.
I’m awake.
Yeah, and, what about the house??? We need to know!!!
blurf
I am stuck in traffic because of construction on I 40 East right before exit 137. I’m trying to get to exit 143 so I can get to my mom’s house and help her pack up my grandpa’s things. Its turning out to be much longer trip than I expected. Supposed to only take three and a half hours from Memphis but I think it will be closer to four and a half. it is just me and the baby, because I figured the twins would be more of a distraction than a help. They’re staying home with her daddy all weekend. I hope he can handle two 6yr olds without me for couple days.
I can draw flies.
Wow - adding the candy red really changed the artwork… So much of the detail has been lost.
He’s trying to decide whether to repaint on top of the candy, or stay with the ghosted artwork under the candy. Art is so hard!!! <posture of woe>
Howdy Y’all! We have raised sloth to an art form today. Really. We’re slugs. Ok, I did cook brekkie and cleaned up the kitchen afterwards. That exhausted me so I had a nap. N.O.L. was make a sammich and dindin will be the same. We haven’t left da cave. Ok, I got the paper and the mail which meant I had to walk all the way down the driveway. OYKW is takin’ a nap as I post. Slugs, we are. Slugs, I say.
MOOOOOOM I kinda like the ghosty effect.
**swampy **- he said the graphics are easier to see in the sunlight, but he still hasn’t decided where to go from here. We shall see…
I’ve been crocheting because it’s just too dreary to work outside. Ticks me off because it was supposed to be such a pretty day. Oh well.
Steak is marinating for supper. I’ll figure out the sides later. Overall, a boring afternoon…
I am no longer officially a slug. I did a load of laundry. I tried hard to be a slug all day but that load of jeans and tshirts kept callin’ me, dangit!
Howdy from Richmond VA
I am back in the South, yeah. Two to go Doggio and home.
I shall be a proper Mumper when I get home and stop the one way convo.
Jim
Supper was OK. Rib eye, smashed N.O.T., and cauliflower cooked in beef bouillon. We need a dessert. I may look for something quick and easy to do with oats. Or not. Who knows?
The sun never did break thru. Stoopit sun.
I got semi-productive again. I made a version of patty melts for dindin. I got the griddle out and cooked a couple of beef patties. Then, I sauteed some onions. Next I grilled the patty melts with a combo of cheddar and mozzarella cheese with rye bread. I also did some oven fries. Turned out pretty good.
Jim sounds like a jam packed tour.
And that’s the excitatement from swampland.
I’ve got a batch of peanut butter oatmeal cookies in the oven. It’s a recipe I just found on line - I’ll let you know if it’s any good. Except I changed it - I didn’t have crisco, so I made it with butter - that should make it better, right?
