It was a good date.

Went out this evening with an interesting woman I just met online; looks like we’ll meet again. Yay!

Good for you

That’s great! :frowning:

</jealous>

 Wishing you luck and joy in your new romance.

:)

Yay, indeed!

Does she have an older sister?

Good for you.

YES!

Go Sunspace Go

Did you do anything special that made it into a good date?

Thats very cool Sunspace.

Woohoo! Congrats, Sunspace!

Thanks, everyone. She messaged me through Lavalife on Thursday before I had a chance to message her. I’d already noted her profile for further investigation. (I’m having much better results there this time for some reason…)

We’re both determined transit riders; we both have traveled; we both have ageing parents; we’re more compatible musically than I expected. We’re going to go to a movie sometime soon (dependent on work schedules).

w00t!

That’s wonderful news! Here’s to the next meeting going as well (or better) than the first.

“Hey, I had fun tonight. Would you like to–”

Ninety-nine, Eglinton! Nine-nine, Eglinton! Ninety-nine, Eglinton!

“–go out again sometime?”

Match made in heaven. Or at least the subway.

Seriously, it sounds like you’re off to a good start, Sunspace. Hope you can meet again and that the next meeting goes just as well, if not better!

That is scarily-close to how it went, actually. Except that we were outside on the street at Yonge and Sheppard. But we parted ways in the subway.

BTW, Spoons, I know you like trains and such; check out this list of ongoing projects on the GO-train system.

Go Sunspace! I love to hear about the good guys finding good women.

I just got an email from her. With pictures and a request for more info…

Edit: Booker57, I’ll have to find out.

I should say that Abraca Deborah adds her good wishes, too!

Aside re GO Transit: All-day rail service on the Stouffville line? Stations at Gormley, Bloomington, and Vandorf? I think I left Ontario at the wrong time–finally, proper public transit to York Region! I knew about the extension of the Stouffville line to Lincolnville, but a possible extension to Uxbridge? (I know that’s Durham Region, but we’re splitting hairs.) Great idea! Thanks for the link, Sunspace–I’ll have to look at this a little more closely.

(And M-F GO service to Niagara Falls is a nice touch!)

:: waves hi at Abraca Deborah as well ::

(That’s still one of my all-time favourite usernames…)

And I notice that that page doesn’t seem to mention the electrification study at all…

Went on our sixth date last night.

We met downtown at 5 and had dinner at Milestones overlooking Dundas Square. Perhaps the best meatloaf I have ever had (sorry mom). We talked about all kinds of things. We’ve been talking a lot, and so far there are no red flags.

When we left the restaurant around 6:30, the air was humid and heavy and flat and still, and there were dark clouds in the west visible between the buildings.

We got on the subway. At Union Station, we got on the streetcar, which headed south along its tunnel to Queens Quay station. At Queens Quay, I noticed water flowing along the tunnel floor, an increasing flood of water. The streetcar made its turn and headed up the slope out of the tunnel into the open, into one of the most intense torrential rainstorms I have ever seen. The storm had arrived.

Lightning crackled across the sky as we abandoned my original plan, which was to stroll in the Music Garden further west along the waterfront. The rain was so intense that it was leaking around the closed windows of the streetcar. We stayed on the streetcar and went to Spadina Station. Then we got on the subway. When the subway train came out into the open, the sun was out in a blue sky crowded with fluffy white clouds in the west. In the east was the receding storm and a brilliant rainbow. Then the train entered another tunnel.

Shortly thereafter, she was at my place. We watched some videos, then she was in my arms. She is dark, passionate, curvaceous, and very very sexy. What a woman!

She left sometime later, and texted me when she got home.

Today, whehn I woke up, the cable was out, so I had no internet or phone, and the cellphone service wasn’t working too well either. Around 9:30 things got back to normal. Later, checking the noon news, I found this:

Breaking News - Headlines & Top Stories | The Star

Tornadoes all across Southern Ontario, including the GTA! Including the approximate area where she lives! She didn’t mention anything wrong at home in her texts or emails later, though, so I think everything was okay. Just to be sure, I sent messages.

Edit: Alas, Booker57, she has no sister. She has a brother, though, but he’s married.
