It was a horse, it was an MMP

He KILLS people!!!1111!11!

Ooops. Sorry.

You can keep Dexter, I’ll take his messed up girlfriend.

Have you gotten to the Halloween episode yet? Yum!

Morning all. Slept in - not enough. Taking HRH to the doctor in about 30 minutes. Fingers crossed she comes off her meds today!

I read the second line as “I don’t like quilt sex either”! :o  :smack:

Okay, off to shower and get dressed

Two BJ smilies, one “haha, I got her in the eye” smiley, and one post coitus smiley.

woMan, you’ve got a dirty mind.

Speak for yourself, buddy boy. (Like you wouldn’t…) :stuck_out_tongue:

Why am I awake???

To say Hi to me?

Oh, yeah. I almost forgot.

Hi, Pie!

Hi gt!

It feels so nice when I am missed. I’ll endeavor to post more often, please bear in mind that my back is acting up, my autoimmune crap is flaring and I have a bad case of brain fog, so I may forget a lot of things I ought to comment on, and I’ll probably post totally inane chatter from time to time.

pie I am prone to those kind of problems, and they suck. Feel better.

VBob thank you for commenting on the color of your urine, as I just began taking a B Complex vitamin, and my pee is approximately the color of Mountain Dew, only brighter.

Regarding the dog photo, c’mon my friends, show a little compassion for the pup! Yes, it is a Chinese Crested, and they take a little getting used to, but if I didn’t live in Alaska I would have one by now. I particularly like the black skin/white puffs type, they are very cute. Also, toy dogs have a tendency to lose teeth at an early age, which is why it’s tongue is lolling out the side of it’s mouth. Yes, it’s a crazy funny photo, but I bet it’s a sweet little dog with a loving owner.

beebs my dear, I would have to travel much further north m

to be eaten by a polar bear, a brown (Kodiak, grizzly) bear is far more likely to dine upon my flesh! Oh, and you have got me on the map so close to my house. Just a bit to the left and up to almost Rezanoff Drive. I am at the top of a short hill, covered by a group of trees next to the road. But hey, good job getting as close as you did!

notag as one who suffers frequently from digestive disruptions I find the BRATT diet for a few days to greatly reduce my discomfort and symptoms. (bananas, rice, applesauce, tea and toast) Most recently I ate nothing but bananas for two days and a 3 week IBS attack disappeared. YMMV and IANAD, etc.

Time Lapse

Well, the kids and the skiffman are home, fed and in bed. I had sushi tonight, shared some with skiffman, but he had eaten pizza earlier with The Son, and so I had the lion’s share, yum! We have had a lot of rain since I posted about the snow dump, and when I looked outside today I noticed that my wild iris have green shoots about 6" tall, hallelujah, winter is on it’s way out! I want to go out tomorrow and check all the beds and tubs, and I’ll take photos of anything sprouting to share. I have taken so many photos with sharing them here as the main purpose, soon I will inundate you with a post full!

My nighttime meds are kicking in, so I’d better wrap this up. Again, it feels good to be missed, I’ll get on the stick and post stories again soon. No really, I promise!

TTFN and sweet dreams all!

Talk about a weird awakening!! Apart from idiot Taz coming in the bedroom and making noise around 4 (damned cat) I slept till after 6 - yay! The weirdness that occurred won’t make sense unless you know the view of the bedroom from my side of the bed, so I’ll attempt to set the scene. We have a king bed, with the head against the east wall of the house. I sleep on the right side, so I’m north. There’s a chest on the north wall and the clock radio lives there. Depending upon where it sits, I sometimes have problems reading it. As it happens, the idiot moved it back a bit (Taz, not FCD) so I couldn’t view the digital numbers in their entirety from my pillow. Also, on the other side of FCD’s side of the bed is a window. OK.

I was curled up on my right side, facing the north wall, with a feline cuddled against my back (the idiot) when I heard a strange noise (Scruffy - the other idiot.) I looked up at the clock, and my fogged brain saw 5:12. I rolled over and looked across the bed and saw what looked like something lit up on the floor. My fogged brain thought “WTF?? We don’t have a night light over there…” and at that point, I semi-sat up to get a better look.

Then it dawned on me - literally. It was dawn. As in daylight. I looked at the clock - 6:12 - an hour later than I thought originally. And suddenly the light made sense. Then I started thinking how we have to change the clocks next weekend, then I had to get up to pee, and at that point, I just decided to get up. So I brushed my teeth, took the doggies out, and here I am caffeinating. **FCD ** is still snoozing. And it’s light outside. Thus begins my day.

I had to find a key to the back door for the critter sitter. We enter and exit exclusively thru the garage door, so all we need is a clicker. Guess it’s a good thing we haven’t lost power while out, huh? Anyway, she wants a backup means of entry, so we’ll give her the combination to the garage door opener pad as well as the key to the back door (which I found, labeled “Back Door”) and I’ll have copies made of the back door key and keep one in each vehicle just in case. Meanwhile, she’ll be here in 3 hours and the house looks like the site of an explosion. Guess some tidying is in order.

Other than the critter sitter, I don’t know what’s in store for today. I did 3 loads of laundry yesterday, and I’ll probably do one more of jeans tomorrow, but the other baskets aren’t full enough for a load. One day this weekend, I may drive the mower around to mulch the last of the leaves, since it’s going to be dry and relatively mild. We shall see. Mostly, I don’t have plans.

But it was nice sleeping in a bit. Happy Saturday!!

Morning. Yey more work today. I may be able to get off and go see the hockey game, though.

Hey, kai!

beebs, I’d hate to see the BJ that causes  . That’s why the consensus at last weeks tailgate was that sex>BJ(No teeth).

FCM, part of the problem is one of my assistants is Miss “I’m flexible, but my babysitter ain’t”, so if something goes wrong(which it always does), I’m stuck at work.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. I need to get busy in the kitchen in a bit too. Today is the bridge benefit at church. Ok, I don’t care at all about playin’ bridge, but I do have to make a batch of cheese straws for the bridge playin’ ladies to munch upon. I need to get this done and to the church by eleven this mornin’. No biggie cause it only takes an hour to make a batch from the time I turn my oven on til the last batch comes out. Still… need to motivate towards that, I guess. Also, I am makin’ some red beans and rice for brunch at church tomorrow. I have no idea why I decided on that, I just did.

Oh, and our St. Patrick’s celebration (remember my church is named St. Patrick’s) will be March 15th. That means I get to spend all day there makin’ the famous “St Patrick’s It’s Irish Because We Say So” stew. It’s not actually Irish stew, but close enough.

Dang! Now I’m hungry!

Later Y’all!

Up and caffeinating here too. I didn’t wake up until after 6 today as well–must be something in the air!

I know some of you play in the Family Feud threads in Game Room–the most recent one is geek-centric. Now my track record on these games is pretty poor (on the last one I actually came in -last-! Bah!), so I probably shouldn’t have played but I did anyway, glutton for punishment that I am. Anyways, my answer to the “name a famous geek” question was … Albert Einstein. Well, he was famous and probably considered a geek … in his day, right?! LOL Oh yeah, I don’t think I’m going to damage my current position at the bottom of the pack any. :stuck_out_tongue:

Glad to have you back, Kai, although sad that you’re back is acting up. Thanks for the update; how is your grandbaby doing, though, and how are the pups weathering the winter? Oh yes, good to hear about the signs of spring up on Kodiak Island too–definitely want to see some of your pics!

Happy Saturday all.

Don’t look. Don’t.

:o = okay fine, since it’s his birthday.

 = oh crap I have nowhere to spit this out!

Funny wake-up moment, FCM.

Glad to see you stop by, kai.

Hope you get to see hocky, doggio.

I’m up. Didn’t really sleep much after that middle of the night appearance back there. I’m thinking there’s a nap in my future today.

Mostly going to be vegging today…

GT

Why can I never sleep in hotels? Off for an entire day of class and no real sleep. Ugh.

beebs, you crack me up! <snerk>

yeah, I had to look…

beebs, I’ll have you know that I got up out of my nice comfy bed (where I was reading the MMP from my phone) to come downstairs and log on to see what was in your spoiler box. Funny.

Marnin’, folks. So far today I’ve made three trips to the dump. Once to toss out the two trash bags and the furnace filter (so that was why the power bill was so high this month! ), once to toss out a garbage can full of pizza boxes (have I mentioned my roommates are male and allergic to kitchens?), and once with Adopted Dad to toss out the old ugly 1970s couch that WOWCrack Roommate and I had to bend in half to get out the door of his room when he moved in back in July. Yeah, it’s been sitting in the backyard since then. Now it’s sitting in a dumpster off my lawn. There’s also the threat that I may have to help move in a new fridge in the breakroom of the Archives today to replace the one we lost because someone in Purchasing used the wrong funds to buy it.

I’ve got a lot of reading to catch up on. That’s what my desk hours this weekend are for.

Also, today’s This Is True had some good fire stories. I dedicate this snippet to Bobbio and the continuing burn ban in East Kakalak:

Hey y’all. Haven’t posted here recently, but I thought I’d drop in and share a special picture that made me think of swampbear. Little green balls of death | Way to market those brussels s… | Flickr . Ya see, ever since he coined the phrase “fart-blossoms” to describe brussels sprouts, it’s stuck with me.

Susan
(still love them, though!)
