It was a horse, it was an MMP

Hee, that’s a great pic, susan. Hey, it’s susan! ::waves::

Sounds like you’ve been busy, Spaz.

Hanging out on the couch, watching German TV on the net. Have I mentioned recently that I love the internet? I’ve watched news and an interview show (you know the show where Heidi Klum said she’d take Britney Spears in? Same show (different week; I saw the Heidi interview last week). This time he was interviewing an ex-politician who just stepped down from the board of UNICEF Germany, a couple who each anchor news shows on two different networks, and a dentist who travels around the world and takes care of indigenous people. Now I’m watching a pretty bad Law & Order-ish soap opera.

Back later…

Welcome back, susan! Don’t be such a stranger!!

Well, we met with our petsitter today, and I really like her. So do the critters. I walked her through the usual routine, and I’m pretty sure it was overwhelming. Plus she won’t be here till the end of April, so she’ll forget a lot, no doubt. I’ll make sure to leave her a list as a reminder. I also have to be certain to have enough critter food on hand. And water the plants. And arrange for the mail to be stopped. I need to make myself a note to remember…

It’s very windy but mild. **FCD ** is about to head to the boat to futz around there. Since we cleaned the whole house this morning, there’s really not a lot for me to do. Well, actually, there are chores that need doing, but nothing pressing. So we’ll see how busy I get.

I may have mentioned some weeks ago about a less-than-stellar experience at Bob Evans. Or I may have put it in my LJ - I don’t recall. Anyway, I went to their website and let them know what a lousy experience it was and why. Yesterday, I got 4-$5 coupons and a letter of apology. So breakfast at Bob’s is on Bob’s tomorrow. Yay!

I am at work today as it is monthly inventory count day. YAY!

Auditors left last night after leaving chaos in their wake - told me what a bad manager I was and that we as a district are totally non-compliant.

That was a fun week

On the plus side Mr ems-to-be is 35 mins away after his 2 day drive across country to move here!

Boy it’s been quiet here in the MMP today.

Grocery shopping has been done, lunch (N.O.L.) has been eaten, and Better than Sex cake is halfway made. Gotta let it cool down before finishing it. Cheddar Bay Biscuits have been made.

I just realized that I forgot to get my pictures printed when I was out and about. That means I have to run out again.

Hubby is out getting the car washed and toy shopping. Gotta wait until he comes back before I can leave.

Thank God for Tylenol, is all I have to contribute today.

:: mumbles and hides under blankets ::

The fridge was already in the break room when I got here. No more heavy lifting for Spaz! It’s mustard yellow and smells like the beach. I can’t describe the smell, it just reminds me of the kitchen in every beach house I’ve ever been in. Not a bad odor a-tall.

This week’s “Spaz works through her ‘want to see’ list” is Brazil. I’m expecting total weirdness.

gives Haze an extra-extra strength Tylenol

Today I’m just hanging out, mostly offline. Had a test to take this morning, then went to the farmers market afterwards and now I’m hanging out watching 10 Things I Hate About You.

It’s kinda saddening actually. I love the movie, it’s one of my favourites and based on one of my favourites by Shakespeare but watching Heath Ledger makes me sad.

That movie’s been on my “meaning to see” list for ages now. But yeah, how sad.

I’m thinking of throwing a movie in the DVD player. Cuz I’d like to thoroughly couch potato my way through Saturday with more than one screen.

Not sure which movie yet, though. Library closes in 15 minutes, so it needs to be one I have here already. Hmmmmm.

Back later.

I subscribed to Showtime. I’m going to be watching Dexter all weekend.

Hey, I think it worked!

I just skimmed through the “would you kill 10,000 kittens to save your child” threads going on the IMHO and the Pit and am pretty freaked out. People are weird.

Now that my headache is gone I really should attempt to get some work done today. Boo.

Stop stealing my shtick!

Okay, see yah kids. Gone for the weekend.

Bye beebs! Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do… :stuck_out_tongue:

I am brain dead. I also have to redo an assignment–despite my “insights” which were good, the prof states that my work was “essentially only 2 paragraphs long” so it must be lacking.

Whatthefuckever.
I am so sick of grad school.

So, rigs, the moral of the story is “Quantity = Quality” right?? Yeah, right…

We had pancakes for supper - easy and quick. I’ll probably munch on an orange or 2 later. It’s a lazy evening hereabouts.

Now are you beginning to understand the purpose of grad school? What did I tell ya? :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey s_f! Little green balls of death. HEE! I’m so proud! If nuttin’ else I want my legacy to the MMP to be two things… never ever run out of tp and brussels sprouts smell like a fart would if it blossomed.

My cheese thangs were a hit. I got the report from the big bridge benefit a little bit ago. What I got told was, next time I have to make at least a double batch. Makes a bear proud, it does! The red beans and rice (well, the red beans portion anyways) are simmerin’ away in a dutch oven as I post and smell soooooooo good! Tomorrow mornin’ I’ll make rice, add it to the red beans and sausage and heat the whole thing through before headin’ out for churchification.

Also, bein’ as I’ve been a busy bear, da cave is all spiffed and cleaned too! I sent ol’ y’all know who to his place to clean it up whilst I did that. Now we’re both here at da cave. Supper tonight was Papa John’s Pizza. Hey, since I sent him back to town, it just made sense to send him to PJ’s for pizza on his way back out here. I’m all efficient like that.

We have declared tonight to be martini time. Well, in about half an hour when I can turn the stove off anyways. Martinis and cookin’ do not mix well. I stopped at the store and got us some blue cheese stuffed olives to go in our martinis. Martinis… the drink that comes with its own snack. What could be better!

Oh, the weather out… wunnerful! I saw a sign of Spring today… a lizard on the back porch! That and yellowish pollen stuff from the neighbors dang pine trees… grrrr… I still say they should keep their pine pollen in their own yards! I don’t have pine trees so I shouldn’t have to deal with their pine pollen. It’s only fair.

Have I mentioned about gettin’ a new liner for the pool? See, the old liner is kinda ick and I’m sure I told y’all about the patch I had to do to the old liner because of some kind of critter that fell in the pool. Well, I noticed a couple of other small tears in the liner and decided that rather than patch (which I could) I’d see about the cost of a new liner. So I did. My first reaction was… However, the price includes draining the pool, installing the liner, refilling the pool (the reimburse me the water cost, how jake is that!) and the chemicals to balance the newly filled pool. Plus there’s a twenty year guarantee on the new liner and the one I picked (I tried to find one on line to show but can’t find it thus far) is waaaaaaay f-aaaaaa-bu-lous! So, for the price, it ain’t so bad. I guess. Still… Remember I’m a cheap bear.

Is this post chatty enough for y’all?

Where is everybody?

Just poppin’ back in to say… martini… good! I am two away from a durkne ptos.

I’m here, watching the recovery of a Mammoth on the Discovery Channel, playing Sudoku, and thinking about turning on the mattress pad on our bed to warm the sheets.

Are you sorry you asked? Or did the martoonies make that interesting??

I’m here, still watching German TV - apparently that’s my escape this weekend - and surfing. Enthralling, huh?

HMMMMMMMM… you want to turn on your matress pad. And you say things are always boring at FairyChatEstates! :stuck_out_tongue:

WHEE! Martoonies is fun!

Not as enthralling as somebody who wants to turn on a mattress pad.
