It's 40°F and raining, and I like it.

I like cool weather better than hot weather (although the desert in the summer does have its charms, too). And I like snow.

But I don’t have a job. No job means no medical coverage. No medical coverage means that if I’m injured, I’m in trouble. I can’t risk skiing right now, and it’s slippery to walk on. This snow is useless to me.

The thermometer on the back porch reads 40°F, and there’s rain. It’s melting the snow. Not only that, but I’ll burn a little less propane as well.

Dog nose days, I call 'em.

This weekend it was -40 in TBay. Know what happens when you toss a pan of boiling water into the air at -40? It doesn’t rain. It’s pretty neat. Looks like smoke from fire works. Doesn’t hit the ground.

It’s like 60 now. In L.A. they’d call this ‘The Pineapple Express’. Feels good.
