It's 80 degrees today.

Remind me of this in February. I may forget as I’ll be out in the yard getting the garden ready.

::rubs her hands with glee while reading this thread::
I used to live in Boston…what do you think drove me to Florida? Now I can bask and simmer to my little heart’s delight!

Wile E, you make me blush!
And you’re entirely correct about the ‘seasons’ we have. It’s glorious, and after years of rotten, unpredictable, bitingly frigid New England winters, I’ll forever be in awe of it.

Well its around 80C here too, the sun is shining, not a cloud in the sky, lovely mild temperatures, I think a barbie is in order.

…and then I woke up.

It’s a grey typically Northern England November day, the sun has migrated elsewhere for the rest of the year, if its not raining then its foggy, and its that damp miserable kind of cold thats useless to everybody.

It’s in the 80’s here but in the next 10 hours, it’s gonna drop 40 degrees. Brrr…

It’s around 80 here too. *

  • Kelvin.

80C? Good thing you woke up! You could have suffered heat prostration otherwise!

It’s around 80 here too today; it’s the only thing that made all the running around and errands bearable today, because it meant I could put the top down on the car.

Yeah, this time of year is great; low humidity and a cloudless blue, blue sky. If only all the old brainless snowbird drivers would just walk instead of driving. Or better yet, stay inside.

When I left work today it was snowing and the wind was whipping, but I’m still very thankful…

because there ain’t a yard of snow on the ground!

You have to count your blessings where you find them, I guess.

Yeah, Wile E, I’ve seen Lionne’s pic. She matches the weather.
Now…take me with you?

You could try Tucson. At 10:00 it’s 64 degrees. The humidity’s a little high, though at 33%. I think the high was around 80 today. Terrible, really.

Naah, I think I’ll stay put here. Low humidity, to the point where there is a huuuuge local industry in lotion and lip balm and stuff like that, but I’d rather that than the other extreme. And I haven’t gotten too cold yet, including when I am wandering around outside. I’m told I will really have acclimated when I think 20F is a perfect temp for a walk. “Hmm,” I said, when told this. “20 doesn’t sound bad, actually, though I need better gloves!”

It feels like winter, and I like it. Still waiting for the first big snowfall, though.
